Tasmaniaโs 2026โ27 Skilled Migration State Nomination Program is now open for new Registrations of Interest (ROIs) from 17 August 2026. Tasmania has received 2,050 nomination allocations for the program year โ 1,250 for subclass 190 and 800 for subclass 491.
The new program also introduces changes to priority attributes, ROI ranking and selection criteria, with greater recognition for longer-term contribution to Tasmania and clearer differentiation based on employment duration. Weekly invitations are scheduled to begin from 20 August 2026.
If you're planning to apply for Tasmania state nomination, Subclass 190, Subclass 491, skilled migration Australia, or Tasmania PR, understanding the updated priority attributes is essential before submitting your ROI.
Important: Submitting an ROI is free, but an ROI does not guarantee an invitation or state nomination. Applicants are selected according to Tasmaniaโs published requirements, priority attributes and ranking process.
