Advancing Academic Excellence: 2-Day FDP on Advanced Qualitative Research Methods
Rajagiri Business School recently hosted a two-day Faculty Development Programme and Research Workshop titled "From Themes to Theory Building: Advanced Qualitative Research Methods" on July 31st and August 1st, 2026. Organized by the Research Pillar at Rajagiri Valley Campus, the initiative focused on empowering scholars and educators to bridge the gap between qualitative data analysis and robust theory creation. Building on the momentum of its inaugural edition, this year’s programme saw an overwhelming response, welcoming 68 delegates and setting a new benchmark for scholarly engagement on campus.
The event commenced with an inspiring inauguration by Dr. Raghavan K N, IRS (Retd.), who highlighted the crucial role of rigorous qualitative inquiry in addressing complex modern business challenges. Over the course of two days, participants engaged in rich discussions and practical learning sessions led by an esteemed panel of academic experts: Dr. Soumya G Rajan (IIT Bombay), Dr. Gopinath Krishnan (IIM Trichy), and Dr. Rahul R Lexman (Rajagiri Business School).
