Lecture will be led by gynecologist and reproductologist Eka Kvirvelia

What is the papilloma virus?

Human papillomavirus causes different types of cancers in men and women, e.g. cervical, oripharyngeal, perianal, letterhead, head, etc. Sh. The virus is transmitted through sexual and close contact skin-to-skin

Preventive vaccination in Georgia (women 10-45, men 10-26) is free. Another way of prevention is a national screening program, which includes a pap test and other studies if necessary

Human papillomavirus vaccine is the first cancer vaccine in the world, as the anti-vaxxer anti-science campaign is very powerful in our country, it is the responsibility of doctors/scientists to raise awareness about the types of cancers caused by papilloma virus and how to prevent it

🔹 Caucasus University with Scientific Cybersecurity Association is organizing a competition: "Future Expert of Cybersecurity"

Pupils of 10-12 grades registered in Georgia can participate in the competition. Participants should create teams of 2-3 students and present their projects on cybersecurity for 10-15 minutes during the competition

The competition will be held at Caucasus University, on May 21, at 15:30, in C9 auditorium

🇪🇺 International Black Sea University (IBSU) participates in Erasmus+ CBHE project Virtually EDU.

The first stage of the project includes the training of lecturers from the School of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences; In the second stage, IBSU lecturers will share their knowledge with students from five different participant countries.

Virtually EDU seeks to enhance students' knowledge of cyber security and digitalization through various online activities, as well as to improve the necessary digital skills.

On top of that, participation in the project will be beneficial for student employment both at the local and international market.

Project partner countries are Sweden, Greece, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. Two universities and one youth organization from Georgia will participate in the project.

🔹 Student of CSG - Nodar Bokeria, won the Youth Agency Grant Competition - "Representative of Georgian Youth in the UN"

As a result of the competition, the selected representative was given a one-year mandate and was financed by 30 000 GEL

The grant competition is part of the “UN Young Delegates” programme, which brings together young people from all over the world and aims to inform young people about the UN’s sustainable development goals and the various international processes underway at the UN. One of the tasks of the competition is to identify the challenges of young people living under occupation conditions and, in general, to protect the interests of young people living in Georgia according to the UN agenda
