STATE-WIDE BRAIN AWARENESS COMPETITION – ICTN 2026
The Centre for Neuroscience, CUSAT, is organising a State-wide Brain Awareness Competition for school and college students across Kerala as part of the *International Conference on Translational Neuroscience: Brain to Behaviour (ICTN 2026)*.
The competition encourages students to think about how their everyday choices affect the brain, understand brain health, and share what they learn creatively with their friends, families and communities.

Think about how excessive screen and digital-device use can affect attention, sleep, behaviour and mental well-being.
😴 **Sleep: The Brain's Superpower**
Why does the brain need good sleep? What happens when we don't get enough?

Explore how physical activity and sports can keep the brain healthy and improve mood, memory and thinking.
❤️ **Emotions and Mental Well-being**
Understand how emotions, stress and mental well-being influence the brain and our daily lives.
🍎 **Food for Thought: Nutrition and Brain Health**
Think about how the food we eat can influence our brain, mood and overall health.
🧠 **Neurodegeneration: Why Do Some People Forget Memories?**
Explore conditions such as dementia and understand why protecting brain health matters throughout life.
⚠️ **Neurological Disorders: Recognise Early, Protect Better**
Create awareness about neurological disorders and the importance of recognising warning signs early.
