For every student, there is a stage when they believe what they have learnt,their thoughts and their concepts are the only true things that exist. Let's take it as Ignorance-Level1. "I" was no different and I have even cleared level 4😀😀😀😀.Then, everything except me had defects in some way or the other because "I"was the only perfect being....
There was one instance when "I" had a debate with my teacher and mentor Shri Tamarakkadu Govindan Namboodiri Sir, comparing the styles of GNB and his disciple S kalyanaraman sir.He was trying to make me understand the Greatness of GNB style of applying gamakas (Urundirikkum means round like in structure)as he understood that my inclination was more towards Shri Kalyanaraman sir and obvious that I was oblivious to his theory,ha ha...(ignorance level2) because ,
"I" was the only perfect being.....
It was during my PG days (level3😀), when "I"met Shri Mavelikkara p Subramaniam sir. "I" felt something is different in his approach, he used to refer GNB not by mere words but always with some beautiful and attractive musical phrases that GNB applied in his concerts.. 'I' was amused this time, because "I" loved GNB only because of his superfast Brigas. This newly exposed GNB factor was unknown to me. 'I' became a little skeptical about my concepts, Am 'I' wrong? Ok let me accept only GNB then... Let him be my super hero. Days have passed with another super hero in mind and to top it all, GNB was even my dissertation topic(suggested by Subramaniam sir)

In yet another instance ,during my PG practical exams, when Shri Ponkunnam Ramachandran Sir , the external examiner(I guess it was other composers paper) referred to MD Ramanathan,GNB and said both are same.. "I" was thinking what nonsense,how can MDR be an equal to GNB,no way(Level4),but didn't utter a word as I was afraid of him(image given by the seniors😆). I discussed this with Subramaniam sir ,he left a very simple reply that actually meant 'you ll realise that later'. His classes went on,but he started introducing magical musical phrases of MDR,Semmangudi Sreenivasa Iyer,KVN, Lalgudi jayaraman and many others.. Well perfected "I" slowly started melting and melting unto a level below minus degree, the point when this tiny i realised the beginning stage of a "STUDENT"-Level 1...(back to square one).
Here I is not singular, I represents all the students who might have crossed or still staying at the above mentioned ignorant levels.
"As Shree Ramakrishna Paramahamsa once said about a salt doll that decided to measure the depth of the Ocean.As the Doll entered into the ocean,what left was only THE OCEAN,the doll disappeared.. Let's all pray and work genuienly to become that "Salt doll(ego)"and get absorbed in that Ocean of Music....
