TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION
Today under guidance and supervision of worthy principal HSS BOYS KISHTWAR Sh ASHOK KUMAR JI,Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sh Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great philosopher, educationist and former President of India.

The programme began with a warm welcome by worthy principal. Students expressed their gratitude and respect towards their teachers through speeches, poems etc highlighting the important role of teachers in shaping the lives and future of students.

The Worthy Principal, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji, appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers and highlighted the significance of Teachers’ Day. He encouraged students to respect their teachers and follow the values of discipline, hard work and dedication.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks. The programme provided an opportunity for students to acknowledge and appreciate the invaluable contribution of their teachers in their academic and personal development.

Har Ghar Tiranga & Vande Mataram Activities

Govt. Higher Secondary School (Boys), Kishtwar conducted various Literary and Concluding Events on 17th August 2026 under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” and “Vande Mataram” celebrations.
The activities were conducted under the guidance and supervision of the worthy Principal, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji, with active cooperation of the teaching staff.

Students actively participated in Essay Writing, Speech and other competitions, showcasing their patriotic spirit and creativity. A Valedictory Session was also organized, during which the efforts and participation of students were appreciated.

Awards and certificates were distributed among deserving participants to encourage and motivate them.

The programme concluded with a strong message of national unity, patriotism and respect for the Tricolour, making the concluding activities meaningful and memorable for the students.

गवर्नमेंट हायर सेकेंडरी स्कूल (बॉयज), किश्तवाड़ में योग्य प्रधानाचार्य श्री अशोक कुमार जी के मार्गदर्शन और शिक्षण स्टाफ के सक्रिय सहयोग से 17 अगस्त 2026 को "हर घर तिरंगा" और "वंदे मातरम" उत्सव के तहत विभिन्न साहित्यिक और समापन कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया गया। छात्रों ने निबंध लेखन, भाषण और अन्य प्रतियोगिताओं में बढ़-चढ़कर भाग लिया और अपनी देशभक्ति की भावना तथा रचनात्मकता का प्रदर्शन किया। एक समापन सत्र का भी आयोजन किया गया, जिसके दौरान छात्रों के प्रयासों और भागीदारी की सराहना की गई। योग्य प्रतिभागियों को प्रोत्साहित और प्रेरित करने के लिए पुरस्कार और प्रमाण पत्र वितरित किए गए। कार्यक्रम का समापन राष्ट्रीय एकता, देशभक्ति और तिरंगे के प्रति सम्मान के एक मजबूत संदेश के साथ हुआ, जिसने इन समापन गतिविधियों को छात्रों के लिए सार्थक और यादगार बना दिया। 🇮🇳 हर घर तिरंगा | वंदे मातरम 🇮🇳

گورنمنٹ ہائر سیکنڈری اسکول (بوائز) کشتواڑ نے قابل پرنسپل شری اشوک کمار جی کی سرپرستی اور تدریسی عملے کے تعاون سے 17 اگست 2026 کو "ہر گھر ترنگا" اور "وندے ماترم" کی تقریبات کے تحت مختلف ادبی اور اختتامی تقریبات کا انعقاد کیا۔ طلباء نے مضمون نویسی، تقریر اور دیگر مقابلوں میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیا۔ ایک اختتامی سیشن بھی منعقد ہوا جس میں طلباء میں انعامات اور اسناد تقسیم کیے گئے۔ پروگرام کا اختتام قومی اتحاد اور پرچم کے احترام کے پیغام کے ساتھ ہوا۔

Celebration of 80th Independence Day

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Govt. Higher Secondary School (Boys), Kishtwar on 15th August 2026. The programme was organised under the guidance and supervision of the worthy Principal, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji.

The celebration commenced with the singing of the national song Vande Mataram, followed by the unfurling of the National Flag, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem.

The worthy Principal then took the salute from the marching contingent of HSS boys. Students and staff actively participated in patriotic activity.

The programme concluded with a message from the worthy Principal on unity, patriotism, and commitment towards the progress and development of the nation. The entire celebration reflected the spirit of “Nation First” and created a strong sense of pride and patriotism among the students and staff.

Rangoli Making Competition

Govt. Model Higher Secondary School (Boys), Kishtwar organised a Rangoli Making Competition as part of the activities for the upcoming Independence Day Celebration 2026, under the guidance and supervision of the worthy Principal, HSS Boys Kishtwar, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji.

Students participated enthusiastically and created colourful rangolis based on themes of patriotism, national unity and the Tricolour. The activity provided students an opportunity to showcase their creativity and artistic talent while fostering a sense of national pride.

The competition was conducted successfully with active participation and enthusiasm among the students.

سرکاری ماڈل ہائر سیکنڈری اسکول (بوائز) کشتواڑ نے یومِ آزادی کی تقریبات 2026 کے سلسلے میں ایک رنگولی سازی کے مقابلے کا انعقاد کیا۔ یہ مقابلہ قابلِ احترام پرنسپل ایچ ایس ایس بوائز کشتواڑ، شری اشوک کمار جی کی زیرِ سرپرستی اور نگرانی میں منعقد ہوا۔
طلبہ نے جوش و خروش سے حصہ لیا۔ انہوں نے حب الوطنی، قومی اتحاد اور ترنگے کے موضوعات پر رنگ برنگی رنگولیاں بنائیں۔ اس سرگرمی نے طلبہ کو اپنی تخلیقی صلاحیتوں اور فن کا مظاہرہ کرنے کا موقع دیا۔ اس سے ان کے اندر حب الوطنی کا جذبہ بھی بیدار ہوا۔ یہ مقابلہ طلبہ کی بھرپور شرکت اور جوش کے ساتھ کامیابی سے اختتام پذیر ہوا۔

🇮🇳 Rakhi Making Competition –
A Rakhi Making Competition was organized at Government Higher Secondary School (Boys), Kishtwar under guidance and supervision of worthy principal HSS BOYS KISHTWAR Sh ASHOK KUMAR JI as part of the activities leading up to the Independence Day celebrations on 15th August 2026. Students participated enthusiastically and displayed their creativity by preparing colourful and innovative Rakhis. The activity coordinated by Arti madam (sr lecturer)promoted creativity, cultural values, brotherhood and the spirit of unity among students.

Participation in SCERT Jammu Webinar on NEP 2020

HSS Boys Kishtwar participated in the webinar organized by SCERT Jammu on the occasion of the 6th Anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, titled “Nayi Shiksha Ka Adhyay”, held on 8th August 2026.

The worthy Principal, HSS Boys Kishtwar, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji, along with the teaching staff (Lec.04..Master..01..Teacher ..7)and students(60) actively participated in the webinar in the ICT lab of school. The programme provided valuable insights into the key provisions, objectives and transformative vision of NEP 2020, with emphasis on holistic, inclusive and skill-based education.

Screening of Motivational Film on Drug Abuse under 100-Day NMJKA
Under the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan (NMJKA), a motivational film on drug abuse was screened at HSS Boys Kishtwar under the overall guidance and supervision of the worthy Principal, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji. The programme was coordinated by the Wisdom House of the school along with legal cell of school.
The screening was organized to sensitize students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and to motivate them towards a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle. The film effectively highlighted the physical, mental, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse while inspiring students to make positive life choices.
The students watched the film attentively and gained valuable insights into the importance of staying away from drugs. The activity served as a meaningful step in promoting awareness and strengthening the message of a drug-free society.
