Participation in SCERT Jammu Webinar on NEP 2020

HSS Boys Kishtwar participated in the webinar organized by SCERT Jammu on the occasion of the 6th Anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, titled “Nayi Shiksha Ka Adhyay”, held on 8th August 2026.

The worthy Principal, HSS Boys Kishtwar, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji, along with the teaching staff (Lec.04..Master..01..Teacher ..7)and students(60) actively participated in the webinar in the ICT lab of school. The programme provided valuable insights into the key provisions, objectives and transformative vision of NEP 2020, with emphasis on holistic, inclusive and skill-based education.

Screening of Motivational Film on Drug Abuse under 100-Day NMJKA
Under the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan (NMJKA), a motivational film on drug abuse was screened at HSS Boys Kishtwar under the overall guidance and supervision of the worthy Principal, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji. The programme was coordinated by the Wisdom House of the school along with legal cell of school.
The screening was organized to sensitize students about the harmful effects of drug addiction and to motivate them towards a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle. The film effectively highlighted the physical, mental, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse while inspiring students to make positive life choices.
The students watched the film attentively and gained valuable insights into the importance of staying away from drugs. The activity served as a meaningful step in promoting awareness and strengthening the message of a drug-free society.

An interactive awareness session under the 100-Day Nasha Mukat Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan was organized by Wisdom House at HSS Boys Kishtwar under the overall guidance and supervision of the worthy Principal Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji.
👩‍⚕️ Mrs. Rohini Sharma, Health Care Vocational Teacher, interacted with students and highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse on health, education, and society. She encouraged students to adopt healthy habits and become responsible citizens.
🙋‍♂️ Students actively participated in the session and pledged to stay away from drugs and spread awareness among their peers.

Distribution of Shoes Among Needy Students

A shoe distribution programme was organized today at Govt. Higher Secondary School Boys Kishtwar under the kind guidance and supervision of worthy Principal HSS Boys Kishtwar, Sh. Ashok Kumar Ji. The initiative was carried out with the active support and cooperation of the revered staff members of the institution.
During the programme, shoes were distributed among the needy students of the school with the aim of supporting their educational journey and promoting a sense of care, equality, and encouragement among students. The worthy Principal emphasized the importance of helping underprivileged students and motivated them to continue their studies with dedication and confidence.
