*CEO Kishtwar Conducts Extensive Tour of Warwan–Marwah; Reviews Infrastructure, Staff Punctuality, and Community Support*

Kishtwar, Nov 28:
*Chief Education Officer Kishtwar, Sh. Sanjay Dogra, conducted an extensive three day tour of the far-flung areas of Warwan and Marwah* to review educational infrastructure, monitor staff punctuality, and assess progress on key development projects under the Education Department.

Beginning his visit in Warwan, the CEO inspected the proposed site for a 100-bedded Girls Hostel, where local landowners expressed readiness to donate land for the project. He also reviewed the under-construction KGBV building, where work has remained halted at the truss level. Officials briefed the CEO that a revised DPR has already been forwarded for necessary approval.

At HSS Afti, the CEO examined the punctuality register and inspected the ongoing building works being executed under Samagra Shiksha. He later visited the functioning KGBV Warwan, currently operating from a government building, and evaluated both academic and administrative performance. During his visit to the ZEO Office Warwan, he reviewed staff attendance and directed officers to ensure smooth, efficient, and accountable functioning.

The CEO also chaired an interaction-cum-review meeting with 50–60 teachers of Zone Warwan, where he impressed upon the teaching staff the importance of professional values, timely completion of assigned tasks, and ensuring quality education to all students.

Upon reaching Marwah, the CEO participated in Constitution Day celebrations at HSS Marwah as the Guest of Honour. The event was presided over by SDM Marwah, Sh. Ashraf Hussain (JKAS), who led the Preamble reading ceremony.

During his inspection of the KGBV Marwah construction site, the CEO expressed displeasure over the prolonged delay, noting that the building has remained incomplete for the past three to four years and that work on the boundary wall is yet to begin. To strengthen girls’ education facilities in the region, the CEO and SDM Marwah jointly appealed to the local community for land donation for establishing a 100-bedded Girls Hostel. Encouragingly, one to two individuals volunteered to donate land. The Principal HSS Marwah was instructed to coordinate with the donors and complete all documentation within the stipulated timeframe.

Concluding his tour, the CEO chaired a detailed meeting with 70–80 teachers of Zone Marwah, reiterating the need for commitment to academic excellence, adherence to professional ethics, and timely completion of all departmental tasks.
