*DAV Public School, Khunti Successfully Hosts Zonal Level Hockey Tournament 2026*
*Khunti, August 7, 2026:* Swami Shraddhanand DAV Centenary Public School, Khunti grandly organized the DAV Zonal Level Hockey Tournament 2026 at the Astroturf Stadium of Birsa College, Khunti. Teams from various DAV schools of the Jharkhand Zone participated enthusiastically in the tournament, and the players displayed excellent sporting talent, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The event was inaugurated by the host school's Principal, Shri Manojeshwar Kumar, and the Chief Guest, District Sports Officer Shri Rajesh Kumar Choudhary. While encouraging the players, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of sports. He said that the soil of Khunti has produced many talented players and such events provide a better opportunity for young players to hone their talent.
On this occasion, Assistant Regional Officer Shri S.K. Mishra and Principal of DAV Bundu Shri Tarakeshwar Kumar along with other distinguished guests were present. They interacted with the players and boosted their morale.
The ceremony began with a formal run with the Sports Torch by the Head Boy of the host school. With this, the official commencement of the Zonal Hockey Tournament was announced.
During the tournament, exciting and competitive matches were played in different age categories. The key results were as follows:
- *Under-19 Girls Final:* DAV Simdega clinched the title by defeating DAV TCI, Govindpur 7-0.
- *Under-14 Boys Semi-Final:* DAV TCI, Govindpur entered the final by defeating DAV Bharechnagar 6-0.
- *Under-14 Girls Final:* DAV Ara Kuju won the championship by defeating DAV Bharechnagar 7-0.
The tournament concluded with a prize distribution ceremony. The winning and outstanding teams were felicitated with medals and trophies. All participating players were appreciated for their excellent performance, discipline and sportsmanship.
Principal Shri Manojeshwar Kumar congratulated all the players, coaches, referees, and the teachers and staff associated with the organization for the successful event. He said that such events play an important role in developing leadership skills, discipline, cooperation and a spirit of healthy competition among students.
This zonal-level hockey tournament organized by DAV Public School, Khunti not only provided a platform for the sporting talent of the players but also established Khunti as an important center for sports activities.
डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल खूंटी ने ज़ोनल स्तरीय हॉकी टूर्नामेंट 2026 की सफलतापूर्वक मेज़बानी की
खूंटी, 7 अगस्त 2026: स्वामी श्रद्धानंद डीएवी सेंटेनरी पब्लिक स्कूल, खूंटी द्वारा बिरसा कॉलेज, खूंटी के एस्ट्रोटर्फ स्टेडियम में डीएवी ज़ोनल स्तरीय हॉकी टूर्नामेंट 2026 का भव्य आयोजन किया गया। टूर्नामेंट में झारखंड ज़ोन के विभिन्न डीएवी विद्यालयों की टीमों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया और खिलाड़ियों ने उत्कृष्ट खेल प्रतिभा, अनुशासन एवं खेल भावना का प्रदर्शन किया।
कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन मेज़बान विद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य श्री मनोजेश्वर कुमार एवं मुख्य अतिथि जिला खेल पदाधिकारी श्री राजेश कुमार चौधरी ने किया। मुख्य अतिथि ने खिलाड़ियों का उत्साहवर्धन करते हुए खेलों के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि खूंटी की धरती ने अनेक प्रतिभाशाली खिलाड़ियों को जन्म दिया है और इस प्रकार के आयोजन युवा खिलाड़ियों को अपनी प्रतिभा निखारने का बेहतर अवसर प्रदान करते हैं।
इस अवसर पर सहायक क्षेत्रीय पदाधिकारी श्री एस.के. मिश्रा तथा डीएवी बुंडू के प्रधानाचार्य श्री तारकेश्वर कुमार सहित अन्य गणमान्य अतिथि उपस्थित रहे। उन्होंने खिलाड़ियों से परिचय प्राप्त कर उनका उत्साह बढ़ाया।
समारोह की शुरुआत मेज़बान विद्यालय के हेड बॉय द्वारा स्पोर्ट्स टॉर्च (मशाल) के साथ औपचारिक दौड़ से हुई। इसके साथ ही ज़ोनल हॉकी टूर्नामेंट के विधिवत शुभारंभ की घोषणा की गई।
टूर्नामेंट के दौरान विभिन्न आयु वर्गों में रोमांचक एवं प्रतिस्पर्धापूर्ण मुकाबले खेले गए। प्रमुख परिणाम इस प्रकार रहे—
- अंडर-19 गर्ल्स फाइनल: डीएवी सिमडेगा ने डीएवी टीसीआई, गोविंदपुर को 7-0 से हराकर खिताब अपने नाम किया।
- अंडर-14 बॉयज़ सेमीफाइनल: डीएवी टीसीआई, गोविंदपुर ने डीएवी भारेचनगर को 6-0 से पराजित कर फाइनल में प्रवेश किया।
- अंडर-14 गर्ल्स फाइनल: डीएवी आरा कुजू ने डीएवी भारेचनगर को 7-0 से हराकर विजेता का गौरव प्राप्त किया।
टूर्नामेंट का समापन पुरस्कार वितरण समारोह के साथ हुआ। विजेता एवं उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाली टीमों को मेडल एवं ट्रॉफी प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया गया। सभी प्रतिभागी खिलाड़ियों की उनके शानदार प्रदर्शन, अनुशासन और खेल भावना के लिए सराहना की गई।
प्रधानाचार्य श्री मनोजेश्वर कुमार ने सफल आयोजन के लिए सभी खिलाड़ियों, प्रशिक्षकों, निर्णायकों एवं आयोजन से जुड़े शिक्षकों और कर्मचारियों को बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे आयोजन विद्यार्थियों में नेतृत्व क्षमता, अनुशासन, सहयोग और स्वस्थ प्रतिस्पर्धा की भावना विकसित करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं।
डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल खूंटी द्वारा आयोजित इस ज़ोनल स्तरीय हॉकी टूर्नामेंट ने न केवल खिलाड़ियों की खेल प्रतिभा को मंच प्रदान किया, बल्कि खूंटी को खेल गतिविधियों के एक महत्वपूर्ण केंद्र के रूप में भी स्थापित किया।
