VISWASS College of Nursing organized a meaningful Plantation Programme on the campus with active participation from students, faculty members, and staff.

The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage the younger generation to take responsibility for protecting nature.

The programme beautifully reflected the values of “Green Campus, Healthy Campus”, reminding everyone that caring for the environment is also an important part of caring for community health.


The plantation drive concluded with a strong message: “One Student, One Tree—One Step Towards a Greener Future.”

🇮🇳 Independence Day Celebration at VISWASS +2 Science College 🇮🇳

VISWASS +2 Science College celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense pride, honour, and patriotic spirit. The occasion was graced by the hon’ble Founder Chairperson Mrs Pratima Gharai ,along with the Chairman ,Secretary ,Principal, and the entire teaching staff, who actively participated in the celebration.

The Founder Chairperson hoisted the National Flag followed by the National anthem and the principal delivered an inspiring address to the gathering, motivating everyone to uphold the values of discipline, unity, and national integrity.

The programme was marked by deep patriotic fervour, encouraging everyone to reaffirm their commitment to the values of unity, freedom, and responsibility towards our nation. 🇮🇳

It was a moment of immense pride and honour as VISWASS School & College of Nursing celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.

The celebration was graced by our hon'ble Founder Mrs. Pratima Gharai Mam, esteemed President of the Governing Body Dr. Pragyan Ranjan Gharai Sir, and respected Secretary Dr. Nandini Gharai mam, principal prof Satyabhama Mishra mam.

The National Flag was proudly hoisted by Mrs. Pratima Gharai Mam, followed by the National Anthem sung in chorus by our students.

The celebration came alive with a beautiful dance representing the diverse states and rich cultural heritage of India.

Our 2nd-year boys showcased an impressive human pyramid, while a student mesmerized everyone with her soulful patriotic song.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Pragyan Ranjan Gharai Sir beautifully connected the spirit of patriotism with the nursing profession, inspiring students to serve humanity with empathy, compassion, dedication and responsibility.

The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets and a joyful photo session, leaving everyone with cherished memories and a renewed sense of pride in our nation.

along with faculty, participated in the State-Level Launch of the Intensified IEC Campaign 3.0, held in conjunction with International Youth Day 2026 at Khordha Town Hall, DHH Khordha. The event was organized by the Odisha State AIDS Control Society (OSACS), Government of Odisha, and attended by:
• Shri Mukesh Mahaling, Hon'ble Minister of Health and Family Welfare
• Shri Prasant Jagadev, MLA, Begunia
• Shri Amrit Ruturaj, District Magistrate, Khordha
• Dr. Nilakantha Mishra, Director, OSACS
Students actively joined the awareness rally, spreading messages of health, unity, responsibility, and positive community change, reflecting the spirit of youth leadership and social commitment.

Inspiring Spiritual & Value-Based Programme at VISWASS on 10th Aug 2026
VISWASS College of Nursing had the privilege of hosting an inspiring programme with Swami Sadananda Saraswati Ji. His enlightening words on spirituality, values, self-discipline and purposeful living deeply inspired the students and faculty.
