It has brought back the horrifying memories of the world war era amongst the people living in the war torn regions of Ukraine.

The agenda for UNGA SPECPOL for ASCENT MUN'22 - “Self determination of Regions annexed by Russian forces in context of the ongoing Russia - Ukraine Conflict”, believes to look upon the right of people to self-determination as a pretext to justify territorial acquisitions and talks about the rightful use of force in the pretext of territorial annexation.

NIIS Group of Institutions was founded in the year 2000 under Nilachal Management Trust (NEMT), in a motive to give wings to the students in the sectors of IT, Management and Social. It's main motto is to provide world class opportunities to it's students such that they can stand against the odds and tackle the upcoming challenges. IP or the International Press delegation has several members belonging to various Media heads and their role involves coverage of the substantive aspect of the committees in an MUN.
The media acts like a watchdog and reports everything that happens in a committee, be it something sensational or something controversial.
Thus, the IP acts as the eyes and hears of every Committee in an MUN.

The IP shall have photographers and reporters working tirelessly for upholding the spirit of speech and diplomacy.

UNITED NATIONS GENERAL ASSEMBLY, 4TH COMMITTEE

The Fourth Committee of the General Assembly of the United Nations is the Special Political and Decolonization Committee, otherwise known as SPECPOL. Established in 1993, SPECPOL is a combination of the Decolonization Committee (formerly the Fourth Committee) and the Special Political Committee. These committees were merged in 1990 when the United Nations established 1990-2000 as the “International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism.” This was particularly important considering at the time of the creation of the United Nations, 750 million people lived in colonized territory. Over 80 former colonies have become independent since 1945. Today, in part due to the work of the Fourth Committee, this number has drastically decreased to approximately two million people living in colonized territory, which SPECPOL remains determined to address.
The Special Political and Decolonization Committee (Fourth Committee) considers a broad range of issues covering a cluster of five decolonization-related agenda items.
