Pleasures of Reading

World Book day which falls on 23rd April, was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at SIS as students bought their favourite stories to class. The day commenced with an interactive session of story telling, reading aloud and speaking about their favourite characters. The excitement among students indeed proved that 'reading is fun, relevant, accessible, exciting, and has the power to transform lives' as rightly put by World Book Day founder, Baroness Gail Rebuck.

Earth Day

Students of SIS expressed their solidarity in protecting Mother Earth by enthusiastically participating in 'Expressions' and 'Pen A Poem' on 22nd April, Earth Day. The young ones expressed their feelings through poetry and art, emphasising on the need to conserve and enhance our resources.

Spell Bee Competition 2021-22

Spellings form a skeletal frame for a good language development.
The Spell Bee Competition gives such a platform to students to learn concepts and develop the use of correct English.
To promote the importance of spelling, Spell Bee Competition was organized by Spell Bee International.
Sanjivani International School, Kharghar again flagged its victory by Vihaan Chaudhari bagging the 8th position at the International level. He is felicitated with a certificate and a medal. It is a proud and a glorious moment for the school. This will certainly inspire and beckon maximum participation from the other students.

Marathi Bhasha Divas Celebration at Sanjivani International School (2022)

Marathi Bhasha Divas is celebrated in the honour of the Marathi language. It is celebrated every year on 27th February to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dnyanpith award winner V.V. Shirwadkar who is popularly known as Kusumagraj. Unlike last year, this year the event was celebrated in the school premises with lot of enthusiasm and fervor. Marathi is the official language of Maharashtra, so the main focus of the event was to promote Maharashtrian culture among the students of SIS. Authentic, traditional dances, local songs like powada, group dances were performed in the glory of Marathi language. Impactful speeches were given by the students which heightened the grace of the language. The winners of the Nrityanjali fest were felicitated on the occasion. The event was telecasted live from the school to the students who were present online. The magic of conducting events live in the school campus was recreated and enjoyed by all.

Sanjivani International School celebrated and saluted the grandeur of the great and valiant Maratha warrior, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on 19th February 2022. The birth anniversary of this Maratha visionary was celebrated with utmost enthusiasm and patriotic fervor in the new school premises. Poems, speeches and songs were recited in the glory of the great king. Famous chants of the great freedom fighter like ‘Har har mahadeo’ resonated with energy and gusto. To add more zeal to the celebration, dance performance by the students was presented. The programme concluded with the Principal, Dr. Vandana Saxena’s address to the students urging them to follow the righteous path of the great leader. The online session students witnessed the live telecast of the entire event.

8th February 2022 morning was an eventful and cheerful one at Sanjivani International School, Kharghar. The start of the school year seemed more overwhelming than ever before. One could observe the mixed feelings of excitement, joy, anxiety and confusion among the students, parents, and teachers at Sanjivani International School, Kharghar
The primary section of the school was welcomed by Principal Ma’am, teachers and other Sanjivani staff with great enthusiasm and joy. To add to the euphoria mascots , Peppa Pig and Sherkhan energized the occasion.
Students walked in wearing masks and maintaining social distance. They were busy exploring the new school building and were left awestruck by the new view that stood before them.The school authorities took utmost care and followed all the protocols laid down by the government. After many weeks of distance learning, which was challenging for children, parents, and teachers alike, the willingness to go back to normal learning processes was demonstrably high. So the new beginning at SIS saw lot of jubilance and glory.

Patriotism was at a new high at the 73rd Republic Day Celebrations at Sanjivani International School. The national flag was unfurled by Principal Dr. Vandana Saxena in the premises of the new school building. The celebrations included speeches, songs and dance performances by the talented students of SIS. The relevance of the day was brought forth by students who shared their aspirations for their nation through 'India Through my Eyes' in different languages. Students who excelled in various fields - academics & cultural, were felicitated on this occasion.
Taking pride in our nation and its democracy, the day was celebrated with zest and patriotic fervour.

Vaccination drive for children aged 15-18 years was organised at Sanjivani International school, Kharghar.

Health workers inoculated students aged between 15 and 18 at SIS, Kharghar.
The entire session was very well arranged by the school authorities for smooth and uninterrupted functioning.
Students were given time slots after prior consent of their respective parents.
The response was encouraging as many students turned up for the drive.

Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It cements the connection between the sounds and letters.

Spell Bee helps students to improve their spelling skills, word usage, sentence construction, pronunciation and ultimately over all use of language that will aid early years of growth and development and empower them with skills necessary for their future careers.

A Spell Bee Competition was organized by Spellbee International Organization. The Regional/ State Level Competition was conducted online on 23rd October 2021.

Our champion Sanjivanites, Vihaan Chaudhari of class IV clinched the 1st position (sharing) and Harsh Kharchan of class III secured 10th position in Tie Breaker round which was held on 19th December 2021.

Toy from Trash
Recycling and Reusing is Our Game
Recyle and reuse the trash to create new toys
As innovation is in our name.
We at SIS, always cherish our responsibility towards our environment. To extend it further as well as to enhance the creative side of our students, Toy from Trash event was scheduled on 07/01/2022 on remote platform of Google meet.
Students came up with innovative and novel ideas of interesting toys and distinctive models of various gadgets . These all were made by using waste material like plastic bottles, cardboards, shoe boxes, bottle caps etc. Toys and gadgets were well assembled, demonstrated and explained using scientific principles by the students. Toys and gadgets like hand blenders, infinity cube, dancing ballerina, miniature home set, rocket launcher etc. triggered curiosity and eagerness among all.
The event saw enthusiastic participation and involvement of the students as well as their parents. This way students were encouraged to make their own toys and made them aware of their responsibility towards environment.
