The CBSE Young India Culinary Competition (School Level) was held on 8th August with great enthusiasm and creativity. More than 100 students participated across two categories — Category I (Fireless Cooking) for Grades VI–VIII and Category II (Cooking with Fire) for Grades IX–XII.
The dishes prepared by our young chefs were truly impressive, reflecting their talent, imagination and passion for culinary arts. From healthy snacks to beautifully plated dishes, every creation reflected imagination, effort, and passion.
The presence of our Chairman, Principal and Headmistress made the occasion even more encouraging and served as a wonderful encouragement for all the participants.
With so many outstanding entries, selecting the winners was not easy. Congratulations to all the participants, and best wishes to the students who will now represent the school at the Regional Level!

Griffins International School was filled with joy, warmth, laughter, and togetherness as our little stars celebrated Grandparents’ Day on 21 August 2026 with great enthusiasm.

The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the unconditional love, wisdom, guidance, and cherished memories that grandparents bring into the lives of their grandchildren. The event began with a warm welcome to our esteemed Principal Sir, Headmistress Ma’am, and our wonderful grandparents.

Our little performers delighted everyone with a vibrant array of graceful dances, melodious songs, recitations, and delightful performances. Each presentation was filled with innocence, enthusiasm, and love, making the celebration truly special.

The event became even more memorable with the Games for Grandparents, creating moments of laughter, excitement, and joyful bonding. The cheerful participation and enthusiasm of our grandparents added a beautiful sparkle to the celebration.

The occasion also highlighted the invaluable role grandparents play in nurturing values, shaping young minds, and strengthening family bonds.

Magic Words, Happy Hearts! ✨💛

The little learners of Nursery conducted a delightful Special Assembly on “Magic Words”, spreading the message of kindness, politeness, and good manners in a fun and engaging way.

Through a cheerful action rhymes , cute enactment, and confident presentations, our young learners demonstrated the importance of using magic words like “Please,” “Thank You,” “Sorry,” in our everyday lives.

The assembly beautifully highlighted how a few kind words can make others feel happy, respected, and valued. It was a wonderful learning experience that encouraged our little ones to practise kindness and good manners every day.

A truly enriching experience for our students and the future aspirants of IIT!

As part of IIT Kharagpur’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, our students of Grade IX Aishi Majhi, Ojaswi Chaudhury and Grade X Animesh Behera and Lavanya Satpathy with Teacher Assistant Ms. Abhilasha Rai had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the School Connect Programme, along with students from several schools. The visit to IIT Kharagpur gave our students an opportunity to experience science, technology and innovation beyond the classroom. From the warm welcome and ice-breaker activities to the inspiring addresses by distinguished guests, every moment was meaningful.

The students also got a glimpse into the world of research through visits to sophisticated research facilities, where they witnessed live demonstrations involving atoms and cells. The guided visit to the Nehru Museum further helped them understand the evolution of science, engineering and technology at IIT Kharagpur.

The campus tour was truly special. IIT Kharagpur student volunteers enthusiastically took the students around the campus and shared glimpses of their life, experiences and learning at IIT. It was wonderful to see our students interact with them and get a feel of what life at a premier institution is like.

For our students, the experience was not just about visiting a premier institution, it was a chance to see a dream up close, explore new possibilities and imagine themselves walking these very paths someday.

A heartfelt thank you to IIT Kharagpur for giving our students this one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn, explore and be inspired. May this experience stay with them as they take their next steps towards their dreams. Some experiences stay with you long after the day is over—and this will certainly be one of them.

Griffins International School, Kharagpur proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with immense patriotic fervour and pride. The celebration commenced with the National Flag being hoisted by the Head Boy and the Head Girl, accompanied by our Honourable Chairman Sir, respected Principal Sir, Headmistress Ma’am and Coordinators, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem.

The programme beautifully showcased the talent and patriotic spirit of our students. The Junior Section presented a melodious song. The little ones then enthralled the audience with a graceful dance performance. Students from Grades VI–XII presented a captivating skit depicting the struggle for India's freedom, taking the audience through significant moments of our nation's journey towards independence.

The celebrations continued with an energetic Western Dance by Grades VI–VIII, followed by an impressive Human Pyramid formation by students of Grades VIII, IX and XI, reflecting discipline and determination. The Senior Section presented a powerful dance performance inspired by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. And then the Principal Sir delivered an inspiring address on the significance of nation-building. The Senior Section also presented a patriotic song that added to the spirit of the occasion.

A special moment of the celebration was the felicitation of students who had excelled extraordinarily in academics as well as co-curricular activities. Their achievements were recognised and applauded, inspiring all students to strive for excellence in every sphere.

The programme concluded with an inspiring and heartfelt address by the Honourable Chairman Sir, followed by the singing of the National Song, bringing the celebration to a proud and memorable close.

The entire celebration was a wonderful tribute to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the values of unity, courage, dedication, and patriotism.
