Greetings programmers!

The biggest programming battle in India has begun here at the grand campus of IIT Kharagpur. The best programming teams from the finest Indian institutes are all set to battle it out for the coveted slot at the 2017 ACM ICPC World Finals, most likely be held in Rapid City, South Dakota (United States), hosted by South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. And we are ready with our lenses to bring you all the latest updates, fun, and action from all the regional sites in India. We start with IIT Kharagpur Onsite Regional, the first of the 5 sites to host these brainy geniuses.

All the participants must reach Kalidas Auditorium for the Inauguration session from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Instruction for participants:
All the participants are to submit their printed material (25 printed pages, Times New Roman, Font Size greater than equal to 12) by tonight (16/12) at the counter outside CIC. The same material will be kept on the table alloted to you in CIC Labs tomorrow during the contest. No other material is allowed during the contest.

Please read the onsite contest rules on acm.iitkgp.ac.in carefully.

After a grueling five hours period of intense coding,we are proud to announce the winners of ACM ICPC Kharagpur Regionals.

First Prize was bagged by Carpe_Diem from IIIT Hyderabad.
First and Second Runner-up positions were earned by angle from IIT Delhi and 3spades from IIT Roorkee.

Our heartfelt congratulations to all the winners.

We are nearing the onsite rounds of ACM ICPC Asia regionals, which means the preparations will have to be steadier than before. Upon getting several requests from all our ACM ICPC aspirants Codechef has decided to run a series of team contests, every day, to acclimatize you to the competition environment ahead of the main event, started from 1st December.

We have received a number of mails from few teams who have not been selected for the onsite round, this notification is for all such teams.
All the submitted codes were evaluated by a panel of judges for plagiarism. After thorough checking of the codes where the judges were convinced that codes submitted by two or more teams or the mutual portion of the codes submitted by teams are exactly same, the teams have been disqualified. If the name of any team does not appear in the final list, it means the team has either been disqualified or is not in the ranklist. All the evidences of plagiarism check may be sent to the head of the Institution if the request comes from the coach at [email protected].
In such cases the head of institution will also be requested to take proper action against the team members involved in plagiarism.
Such teams may contact their respective coaches for the same. Individual mails will not be responded.

We are pleased to announce the list of teams selected for the on-site contest in consultation and with approval from ICPC Asia Director. This list of teams can be viewed on

The selected teams must send a confirmation mail with attached scanned copy of Demand Draft to [email protected] latest by 19th November, 2014. The confirmation mail should also contain your schedule of arrival and departure. Also mention if you are being accompanied by your coach or if any of team members would be unavailable.
