The Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27 was held with great enthusiasm and dignity at Don Bosco School, Kharagpur. The program marked the formal appointment of the newly elected student council and inspired the young leaders to uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome and introduction of the guests and dignitaries. This was followed by the auspicious lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment.
A disciplined and impressive march past by the students added grandeur to the occasion. The young leaders marched with confidence and pride, displaying unity, discipline, and team spirit.
The Guest of Honour was warmly welcomed and felicitated by the school authorities. The investiture ceremony then began with the conferring of badges and sashes upon the newly elected student leaders. The office bearers proudly took the oath of responsibility and pledged to serve the school with sincerity, discipline, and dedication. The Guest of Honour addressed the gathering with motivating words, encouraging the students to become responsible citizens and inspiring leaders. The Head Boy also delivered a speech expressing gratitude and promising to fulfil his duties with honesty and commitment.
The cultural segment of the program included a melodious song and a graceful dance performance by the students, which added colour and joy to the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Principal Sir, who appreciated the efforts of the teachers, students, and organisers in making the event successful. The Investiture Ceremony was indeed a memorable occasion that encouraged leadership, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility among the students of Don Bosco School.
