With a series of engaging sessions throughout the day, it has become a remarkable and un-forgetful day for the students. Motivating speech by IIT director and delegates, visit to Nehru Museum and campus tour, visit to explore the Sophisticated Research Facility lab to see the teeny tiny atom and cell kindled spirit of curiosity .Students interacted with IIT UG students that served as a bridge to clarify their queries regarding academic and personal life in IIT community. We express our heartfelt thanks for this opportunity provided to our school. It is our hope and belief that this is more than just an outreach initiative, that will serves as a vibrant platform for collaboration, innovation, shared learning, and community engagement, empowering young minds to learn beyond the classroom and connect with a larger world of possibilities.

Our school observed World Elephant Day with enthusiasm and awareness, highlighting the importance of protecting elephants and preserving their natural habitats.
Through meaningful activities and student participation, we reinforced the message that every species has a vital role in maintaining the balance of nature. The programme encouraged our students to become responsible and compassionate stewards of wildlife.

स्वतंत्रता दिवस: राष्ट्रभक्ति , गौरव और उत्साह का अनुपम संगम

स्वतंत्रता दिवस के पावन अवसर पर विद्यालय परिसर में देशभक्ति, उल्लास और राष्ट्रीय गौरव से ओत-प्रोत भव्य समारोह का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ माननीय मुख्य अतिथि ज्योतिर्मय घोष, चीफ़ डिफेंस काउंसिल , पश्चिम मिदनापुर के करकमलों द्वारा हिजली शहीदों को पुष्पांजलि एवं ध्वजारोहण तथा राष्ट्रगान के साध हुई। राष्ट्रध्वज के आरोहण तथा राष्ट्रगीत के साथ वातावरण देशभक्ति की भावना से भर उठा। इस पावन अवसर पर विद्यार्थियों ने स्वतंत्रता दिवस की प्रतिज्ञा लेकर राष्ट्र के प्रति अपने कर्तव्यों का निष्ठापूर्वक पालन करने का संकल्प लिया।
कार्यक्रम को ज्ञान और प्रेरणा से समृद्ध करते हुए स्वामी विवेकानंद के सुभाषित प्रस्तुत किए गए। मुख्य अतिथि द्वारा दिए गए आशीर्वचन ने समारोह को गरिमा प्रदान की और विद्यार्थियों को राष्ट्रनिर्माण में अपना योगदान देने के लिए प्रेरित किया। विद्यार्थियों के मनमोहक समूह गीत, देशभक्ति कविता, समूह नृत्य एवं एरोबिक्स प्रस्तुति ने समारोह में उत्साह और ऊर्जा का संचार किया। प्राचार्य महोदया के प्रेरणादायी संबोधन ने विद्यार्थियों को स्वतंत्रता के वास्तविक अर्थ, राष्ट्र के प्रति जिम्मेदारी तथा अनुशासित होने का संदेश दिया। उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले विद्यार्थियों को पुरस्कार वितरण कर उनकी प्रतिभा एवं उपलब्धियों का उत्साहवर्धन किया गया।
समारोह का समापन राष्ट्रीय गीत एवं राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुआ।

On Baishe Srabon we pay our humble tribute to the poet of the poets, Rabindranath Tagore.

The program began with the students’ touching tribute through song. In one voice they sang "Sraboner dharar moto poruk jhore" — a song that perfectly reflects the mood of Srabon and Gurudev’s bond with nature.

This was followed by a graceful recitation of "Sesh-er Kobita". The students brought alive Tagore’s words of love, longing and philosophy, leaving everyone in the audience deeply moved.
On this day we remember that Rabindranath may have left us, but his songs and thoughts will guide us forever.

We are delighted to announce the outstanding performance of our students at the CBSE Sports 2026 Far East Zone – Yogasana Meet organised by GD Goenka Public School, Dakshineswar from 23rd to 26th July 2026.

"When we protect the tiger, we protect the forest; when we protect the forest, we protect our future."
International Tiger Day is observed every year on 29th July to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect tigers and their natural habitats.
To mark this important occasion, the Pre-primary Wing organized a series of engaging and educational activities to help children understand the importance of tiger conservation. The students enthusiastically participated in storytelling, mask-making, and speech activities, highlighting the significance of tigers for our environment and survival.

The celebration also included Theme based assembly with a Tiger Conservation Pledge, a meaningful song, and an inspiring speech by our senior teacher, encouraging students to become responsible citizens and protect wildlife and nature.
The programme successfully instilled a sense of love, respect, and responsibility towards wildlife among the young learners, reinforcing the message that conserving tigers is essential for preserving our forests and ensuring a sustainable future.

*Awareness Programme on Understanding and Implementing the POCSO Act*

We are pleased to share that DAV Model School, IIT Kharagpur, successfully organized a Workshop on Understanding and Implementing the POCSO Act.

The session was conducted by the distinguished resource person, Prof. (Dr.) Uday Shankar, Dean and Professor of Law at the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur. As a renowned authority on constitutional law and human rights, Prof. Shankar delivered a profoundly insightful lecture on the key provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. His talk thoughtfully addressed mandatory reporting obligations, the legal responsibilities of educators, essential child safeguarding measures, and the importance of fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

We were further privileged to have Mr. Atul Dubey, a Ph.D. Scholar under Prof. Shankar’s guidance, enrich the session with his valuable perspectives. Mr. Dubey enlightened on the practical relevance of the POCSO Act within educational settings, elaborating on the pivotal role that teachers and non-teaching staff play in identifying, responding to, and preventing child abuse. His emphasis on nurturing a culture of awareness, empathy, and proactive responsibility was both enriching and thought-provoking.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic and wholehearted participation from all teaching and non-teaching staff members, underscoring the school’s steadfast dedication to the safety, dignity, and well-being of every child. The interactive discussions and the subsequent question - answer session provided the participants with deeper clarity on the legal and ethical dimensions of child protection.

The programme drew to a close with a sincere vote of thanks, followed by a collective pledge to uphold and advocate for children’s rights. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to strengthening a culture rooted in vigilance, compassion, and accountability across the school community.

🇮🇳 Kargil Vijay Diwas 2026 🇮🇳
With immense pride and deep gratitude, our school solemnly observed Kargil Vijay Diwas, paying heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who displayed extraordinary courage and made the supreme sacrifice during the 1999 Kargil War.
The programme began with a brief reflection on the significance of the day, followed by a moment of silence to honour our valiant heroes. A soulful patriotic song presented by our students became the highlight of the event, filling the atmosphere with pride, gratitude, and love for the nation. Their disciplined and heartfelt performance beautifully reflected the spirit of courage, unity, and patriotism.
The observance concluded with a pledge to uphold the ideals of national unity, integrity, and selfless service. Through this meaningful tribute, our students were inspired to remember the sacrifices of our armed forces and reaffirm their commitment to the values that strengthen our nation.
