Learning-by-doing!

What we mean by learning-by-doing is the method of learning by performing experiments on what we learned from theoretical knowledge. We can call this experiential learning. We will use the term ‘experiential learning’ as a broad umbrella term to cover this wide variety of approaches to learning-by-doing.

This is a theory of education first proposed by philosopher John Dewey and Latin-American pedagogue Paulo Freire. There are many models to foster such learning methodology, for example:

- laboratory, workshop or studio work,
- apprenticeship,
- problem-based learning,
- case-based learning,
- project-based learning,
- inquiry-based learning,
- collaborative learning

Hi students, welcome to YUWAdemia. YUWAdemia is derived from "YUWA + Academia" A world of academics for young folks. We support the idea of "Learning-by-Doing" for high school students. Although this idea is not new, it is only applicable to major cities. Every learner is entitled to an education that includes deeper understandings and conclusions. This can be accomplished by applying the knowledge from the textbook to real-world applications. We wish to encourage such a culture in the "Kharagpur-Midnapore" region so that students from these areas can confidently compete with counterparts from more affluent areas.

We want schools in the "Kharagpur-Midnapore" area to work with us to strengthen the core of education by practicing such a teaching methodology. We also invite the IIT Kharagpur community to support us by encouraging students at their esteemed university to contribute valuable suggestions and inputs in their respective areas of interest. Let's work together to give our educational ecosystem more purpose.
