🇮🇳 Har Ghar Tiranga – Har Ghar Swachhata 🇮🇳

On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, the Department of Physics and Department of Chemistry, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM), in association with the NSS Cell, USTM, jointly organised an outreach activity titled “Har Ghar Tiranga: Har Ghar Swachhata” at Jorbill Village, Ri-Bhoi, Meghalaya on 14th August 2026.
The programme witnessed active participation from the faculty members and students of the Department of Physics and Chemistry, who enthusiastically joined the initiative by distributing dustbins to local residents and promoting the importance of cleanliness, responsible waste disposal, and a healthy environment.
As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the Tiranga was also distributed among the residents of Jorbill Village, encouraging every household to proudly display the National Flag and celebrate the spirit of patriotism, unity and national pride.
The initiative beautifully combined the messages of patriotism and cleanliness, encouraging the community to embrace the spirit of “Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachhata” and contribute towards building a cleaner, greener and more responsible society.
The programme received warm appreciation and enthusiastic support from the local community, whose active participation made the outreach initiative more meaningful and successful.
