In-house seminar on IMPACT OF MINING ON RURAL COMMUNITIES IN Date 04 02 2026 Department of ECONOMICS

The Ministry of Education has got an increased allocation of ₹ 139289.48 crores in the Union Budget 2026-27 which is an increase of 8.27 percent over 2025-26. The Department of School Education & Literacy received an allocation of ₹ 83562.26 crores, an increase of 6.35 percent and the Department of Higher Education received an allocation of ₹ 55727.22 crores, an increase of 11.28 percent as compared to 2025-26.

The Union Budget 2026-27 is for creating human capital for Viksit Bharat. It primarily focuses on augmenting skills for Yuva Shakti via multiple announcements highlighting on education, skilling and providing livelihood opportunities for the youth.
