The Department of Management, School of Business Studies, Hindustan College of Arts & Science proudly observed World Organ Donation Day on 13/8/2025 with an awareness program that aimed to educate and inspire. Dr. Ramasubramanian K, Senior Consultant Cardiac Anesthesia and Heart and Lung Transplant graced the occasion along with Dr. Susun Verghees, Director of Hindustan College of Arts & Science. Deputy Director Academics, Dr. VJ Philip and the Principal Dr. D Uthira welcomed the gathering and delivered the inaugural address.

"Organ donation is the ultimate act of love and generosity, where one life ends but countless others begin." By choosing to donate our organs, lets have the power to save lives, offer hope, and create a lasting legacy. It’s a simple decision that can make an extraordinary difference in the world.

On August 12, 2024, Newton Hall was alive with energy as Dr. D. Uthira, Principal of HCAS, welcomed everyone to the Hindosparx inaugural event. Dr. Susan Verghese, Director of HCAS, delivered an inspiring address, encouraging all students to actively participate in upcoming events. The event featured the distribution of badges to the 2024-2025 captains and vice-captains, followed by an engaging cultural dance performance.

The inauguration of the Hindustan-UK Alumni Chapter took place on August 1, 2024, during the 23rd Asia-Europe Business and Social Forum in London. The chapter was formally launched by our Chairman, Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, and Dr. Annie Jacob, Director of KCG Tech, at Kensington, UK.

The Hindustan Outreach Programme for Empowerment (HOPE) under the Department of Biotechnology, School of Sciences conducted a One-day workshop Sustainable Solutions for Marine Health through Scuba Diving on 31st July, 2024 where the resource persons Mr. S. B. Aravind Tharunsri, Director, Temple Adventure, Pondicherry, India and Ms. T. A. Tharagai Aarathana, Young ECO - Warrior & Environmental ST interacted with the students and educated them about Marine health.

The Council for Holistic Wellness of the Department of Psychology is conducting a soft skill training for girls hygiene where Dr. Swathi Praveen, Soft Skills Trainer, Brand Touch - our resource person - will address the students and have an interactive session on 24th July, 2024 at 10am.

The Department of Social Work is conducting an International Volunteer Programme from the 23rd July to 03rd August 2024, where the exchange programme students from Asia University, Taichung, Taiwan will be actively participating along with the other students of the department in this programme for social welfare. The inauguration of this volunteer programme was inaugurated by our respected Principal, Head of the department of Social work and faculty representatives of Asia University.

The orientation day for the freshers for the academic year 2024-2025 was conducted in a successful manner on 06th July, 2024 (Saturday) at MGR Hall where chief guest Dr. R. Anandakumar, IAS - Secretary, Government of Tamilnadu, Managing Director - Co-optex , The Tamilnadu Handloom Weaver’s co-operative society and Justice Dr. S. Vimala, Former Judge, High Court of Madras, Former member, State Law Commission, Government of Tamilnadu attended each on morning and afternoon session respectively. They motivated and encouraged the students for their new chapter in life. The students attended the orientation along with their parents to make this day a memorable one in their life.
