๐ข Event Report โ National Level Hybrid CME & Workshop
Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute (CHRI) โ Department of Pathology
On 24th September 2025 (Wednesday), the Department of Pathology, CHRI, successfully conducted a National Level Hybrid CME & Workshop on the theme:
โUrinalysis in Health and Disease โ Evolving Role of Automation.โ
๐ Venue: Demo Hall 10, CHRI & Online
The CME highlighted the clinical importance of urinalysis and how automation is revolutionizing diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
The program began with a warm welcome and gratitude to the leadership of CARE and the Chettinad Group โ Dr. MAMR. Muthiah (Chairman), Mrs. Geetha Muthiah (Chancellor), Dr. R. Sridhar (Vice Chancellor), Mrs. S. Jeyendrasaraswathi (Registrar), Dr. N. Meenakshi (Dean), Dr. R. Arunkumar (Director of IQAC & Vice Principal), and Dr. Prabakhar (Chief Deputy Medical Superintendent) for their constant support.
๐ Special appreciation was given to Dr. Vindu Srivastava (Organizing Chairperson) and Dr. Manjani S. (Organizing Secretary) from the Department of Pathology for their efforts in making this event a success.
๐ค Scientific Sessions:
Prof. Dr. C.N. Srinivas, Laboratory Director & Consultant Immunopathologist, delivered insightful talks on automation in urinalysis, urine microscopy, and quality management systems (QMS) in diagnostics.
Dr. Arul, Consultant Nephropathologist, Meenakshi Mission Hospital, spoke on the clinical use of urinalysis in daily practice.
๐งช A hands-on workshop followed, giving participants practical exposure to techniques and automation tools in urinalysis.
๐จโโ๏ธ๐ฉโโ๏ธ The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and medical professionals across India, both in-person and online. Sessions were highly interactive and impactful, equipping attendees with knowledge and real-time skills.

In conclusion, the CME & Workshop were a grand success, further strengthening CHRIโs commitment to quality education, innovation, and excellence in pathology.
