Ideal Public School celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and pride on Saturday, 15th August 2026. The programme commenced at 7:45 a.m. in the presence of the dignitaries, teachers and students.
The programme began with a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and guests. The flag-hoisting ceremony was conducted by Miss Trisha Patole, School Topper of the CBSE Board Examination 2026, along with the dignitaries. The unfurling of the Tricolour was followed by the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere of patriotism and national pride.
The school felicitated Miss Trisha Patole and the scholarship achievers for their remarkable accomplishments. The achievers honoured were Anvesh Khadake, who secured 137th rank at the district level; Eshan Bhide, who secured 67th rank at the district level; Sanavi Chavan, who secured 21st rank at the district level; and Shardul Gapat, who secured 66th rank at the district level. Their achievements brought immense pride to the school and inspired fellow students to strive for excellence.
The introductory speech was delivered by Hon. Mr. Pandharish Cheke, Principal, Ideal Public School. In his address, the Principal presented a comprehensive report on the schoolтАЩs progress and achievements. He highlighted the various academic accomplishments of the school and proudly shared the outstanding performance of students in various competitive examinations, scholarship examinations and other academic competitions. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the students, teachers and parents and emphasised the schoolтАЩs commitment to providing quality education and nurturing students to excel in diverse fields. His address reflected the schoolтАЩs continuous journey towards academic excellence and holistic development.
The Independence Day Special programme featured a vibrant series of speeches, dances, skits and patriotic performances by students from different grades. Grade I A presented тАЬOur Little Freedom Heroes,тАЭ followed by Vedant IraleтАЩs speech on тАЬWhy We Celebrate Independence Day.тАЭ Grade II A presented the dance тАЬSandese Aate Hain,тАЭ while Bilwa Bhide spoke on тАЬOne Nation, One Culture.тАЭ Grade II B presented тАЬBharat Ki Beti.тАЭ
Students from higher grades also presented thought-provoking speeches on themes such as тАЬMy Dream for India,тАЭ тАЬUnsung Heroes of IndiaтАЩs Freedom Struggle,тАЭ тАЬMy Vision for India in 2047,тАЭ and тАЬIndiaтАЩs Freedom Struggle тАУ Lesson for TodayтАЩs Youth.тАЭ Grade III presented Tiranga Poms, while Grade IV performed тАЬTera Himalay.тАЭ
The patriotic spirit continued with a Nukkad Natak titled тАЬAzaadi Ke MayneтАЭ by Grade VI girls and a skit on the Dandi March by Grade V students. The Yoga Performance by students of Grades VI to X beautifully combined fitness, discipline and patriotism. A powerful skit on Jallianwala Bagh was presented by Grades VI and VII, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made during India's freedom struggle.
The programme concluded with an impressive human pyramid depicting the valour and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, presented by students of Grades VIII to X. The performance was a magnificent display of strength, coordination, teamwork and determination.
The dignitaries then addressed the gathering. Miss Trisha Patole, Hon. Mrs. Ujwala Bobade, Secretary, DES, and Hon. Mr. Sudhir (Anna) Kore, President, DES, shared their valuable thoughts and inspired the students to uphold the ideals of freedom, unity, responsibility and patriotism.
The programme was well hosted by Grade IX girls Apurva Dudhal, Prajakta Gend. Sharvani Kolekar of Grade IX proposed Vote of Thanks.
The 80th Independence Day celebration at Ideal Public School was a memorable blend of patriotism, cultural expression, historical awareness and student achievement. The programme successfully conveyed the message that the true celebration of freedom lies in becoming responsible citizens, pursuing excellence and contributing positively to the progress of our nation.
