Masters in Public Health: This is a 2 year program which seeks to provide s

tudents with an in-depth understanding of issues in public health principles and practice, and apply this to the specific challenges in delivery, research, planning and management of health services in their national context. This is the flagship program offered by the School of Public Health. Biostatistics and Epidemiology: This is a 2 year, 4 semester program which will equip students with the skills necessary to enable them to work across the range of areas covered by the Medical, Pharmaceutical and Health-related fields and Epidemiology. This program serves to train health professionals to have in-depth knowledge of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and its application to important clinical and public health issues. AFIH: The Associate Fellow in Industrial Health course is a 3 months certificate course for Medical Doctors MBBS and Post Graduate Doctors to create occupational health professional for the industrial world. The AFIH students receive the Diploma from Director General Factory Advice Service and Labor India,(DGFASLI )Ministry of Labor Govt of India. This 3 month Diploma program gives them a wide reach to work as Industry Medical Officers anywhere in India

How do we measure an experience as complex as cyberostracism among young adults?

Ms. Irene Sambath, Research Scholar at the SRM School of Public Health, SRMIST, along with Kalpana B. Kosalram, contributes to this emerging area of research through their paper, Development and Preliminary Content and Face Validation of the Cyberostracism Measure for Indian Young Adults (CMIYA), published in BMC Psychology.

With an Impact Factor of 4.6, the publication reflects SRMSPH’s continued focus on research that responds to evolving public health and psychosocial challenges in a digitally connected world.

A Culture of Wellness Begins Here | |

The University Wellness Program (UWP), School of Public Health, SRMIST, conducted an orientation programme for first-year Nursing students, introducing them to a more holistic approach to student life.

With 100 students participating, the session explored the different dimensions of wellness, including physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. Students were also introduced to UWP clubs, wellness initiatives and extracurricular activities that encourage creativity, connection, confidence and personal growth.

Led by Dr. Sathya T., UWP Coordinator, and Mr. Praveen, UWP Champion, the orientation encouraged students to look beyond academics and make space for healthy habits, positive coping strategies and meaningful participation.

Because wellness is not just about staying healthy. It is about creating a student life where individuals can learn, connect, grow and thrive.
