Observance of Anti Ragging Week (12th – 18th August 2026)
The Anti Ragging Committee observed Anti Ragging Week from 12th August 2026 to 18th August 2026 on the theme “ – Youth Against Ragging.” The objective of this observance was to eliminate ragging, raise awareness, and foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment.
The competition commenced at 3:15 PM. Codes were allotted to the participants to ensure unbiased evaluation. After one hour, the posters were exhibited on the poster wall. The evaluation was carried out by Ms. Babitha K. Devu, Assistant Professor, Member Anti Ragging Squad, and Ms. Supriya, Clinical Instructor, Member Anti Ragging Committee.
Results were declared on the spot, and winners were awarded trophies and certificates. The following students secured positions:
• 1st Position: Ms. Zinnia (3rd Year)
• 2nd Position: Ms. Tania (3rd Year)
• 3rd Position: Ms. Karuna (1st Year)
The activity concluded with the collective announcement of slogans by the audience, including “Say No to Ragging” and “Ragging is a Crime, Unity is Prime.”

International Nurses Day Celebration 2026

The International Nurses Day Celebration 2026 was observed with great enthusiasm from 9th to 12th May 2026 at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing, Kakryal, Katra. Students actively participated in a wide range of interhouse competitions, including fabric painting, mime, personality contest, pencil sketching, thematic writing, solo song, debate, stand-up comedy, mono act, research presentation, pitch event, group dance, and tableau. Their energetic participation, creativity, confidence, and teamwork reflected the spirit of the nursing profession. The celebration provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their talents beyond academics while fostering leadership, communication, and cultural values. The event concluded with a grand closing ceremony and prize distribution, recognizing the outstanding performances of the participants.
