Kathua, May 23, 2025 — The Drugs De-addiction Cell/Psychological Cell of Government Degree College for Women (GDCW), Kathua, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department under the aegis of IQAC, organized a significant initiative aimed at raising awareness about drug abuse and promoting mental health. Over 35 students participated with enthusiasm, showcasing their creativity and understanding of how AV aids enhance classroom experiences.

Celebrating World Intellectual Property Day at GDCW Kathua!

On April 26, 2025, Govt. Degree College for Women, Kathua, celebrated World Intellectual Property Day under the guidance of Principal Dr. Savi Behl. An insightful session was organized by the Institution's Innovation Council in collaboration with IQAC, featuring Dr. Sayed Naser Ali Shah, who delivered a lecture on “Understanding Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights.”

Students learned how Intellectual Property (IP) fuels innovation and supports startups. Real-world examples and an engaging panel discussion made the session enriching for all 40 participants. A big step towards building awareness and creativity!
