Shree Gurukul School, Kasrawad, celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, teachers, and staff members. The programme was organized in the school premises during the morning hours to emphasize the importance of yoga in maintaining physical health, mental clarity, and emotional balance.
The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp and a brief introduction highlighting the significance of International Yoga Day. The Physical Education teachers guided students through a series of yoga asanas, including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Trikonasana, and Padmasana. Students also practiced Pranayama techniques such as Anulom Vilom and Kapalbhati under proper supervision.
The instructors explained the scientific benefits of each posture, focusing on flexibility, concentration, stress reduction, and overall well-being. A short meditation session was conducted at the end, creating a calm and positive atmosphere across the campus.
The Principal addressed the gathering and encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routine to build discipline, improve focus, and lead a healthy lifestyle. The management appreciated the coordinated efforts of the teachers and the active participation of students.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The celebration successfully reinforced the message that yoga is not only a physical exercise but a way of life that promotes harmony between mind and body.
