RESPONSIBLE TOURISM: PRODUCTS AND PACKAGES IN POST COVID-19 SCENARIO:

The corona virus has thrown tourism industry into chaos. The losses and set back for the industry is unimaginable. According to UNWTO, resilience is the key to success during the COVID times. Kerala has developed a greater resilience in the wake of COVID-19 to bring it under control. Kerala as a tourist destination proved the inner built sense of hospitality and took quick measures to keep tourists safe and comfortable during the tough time. Safety from disease would be the new tourism mantra and here Kerala would be expected to score.
Responsible Tourism in Kerala was developed in a participatory framework by considering the tenets of sustainable tourism. Unlike mainstream industry, the income generated at responsible tourism units is directly connected with the livelihood of people at the village level, like weavers, artisans, performers, artists, etc. And the estimated loss due to COVID-19 would be very huge at bottom level.
The Webinar will consider the future and the expected changes in the responsible tourism industry. In this Webinar Sri. Rupesh Kumar K (State Responsible Tourism Mission Coordinator) will explain the trend setter of Responsible Tourism which would help to change the dimension to approach for marketing and research.
