“My child doesn’t know what to write!” ✏️
Try asking questions before asking for a story. Who is the character? Where are they? What do they want? What problem happens?
These 8 prompts help children build a story one idea at a time. In the carousel, I’ve shown how The Lost Puppy grows from a blank page into a story plan.
Let your child answer aloud first. Then help them turn each answer into a sentence. They can add more detail once their ideas are on the page. 💗
