Sainik School Kunjpura continues to upgrade its campus infrastructure and amenities

A review meeting on the ongoing PWD works and infrastructure development projects was held on 18 September 2026 under the chairmanship of Brig HS Sandhu, Dy GOC, PH & HP (I) Sub Area.
The meeting was attended by the Principal, Vice Principal, Administrative Officer, representatives of PWD (B&R), Electrical, Public Health and other school officials. Detailed discussions were held to assess the progress of ongoing works and to ensure their timely completion.
Sainik School Kunjpura remains committed to the continuous upgradation of campus infrastructure and essential amenities. Regular coordination with concerned agencies is being maintained to upgrade school Infrastructure and provide our cadets with a safe, comfortable and conducive environment for learning and holistic development.

Football Fever Peaks at Sainik School Kunjpura as Chhamb House Seals a 2–1 Victory

The Inter-House Football Competition for the Holding Houses concluded today with an exciting match between Chhamb House and Shakargarh House. Chhamb House emerged victorious with a 2–1 win over Shakargarh House.
The match was witnessed by Chief Guest Principal Captain (IN) Gurbir Singh, Vice Principal Lt Col Sheilza Dogra, Adm Officer Lt Col Sandeep Rathee, and members of the school staff. Tejas of Chhamb House was adjudged the Best Player for his impressive performance.
Addressing the cadets, the Principal appreciated their enthusiasm and sporting spirit. He remarked that although these boys had joined the school only a few months ago, they had already embraced the ethos of the House system and displayed commendable football skills.
The competition concluded on a high note, promoting team spirit, discipline and healthy competition among the cadets.

🇮🇳 Educational-Cum-Motivational Tour to NDA, Khadakwasla

Sainik School Kunjpura organised an educational-cum-motivational tour to the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune, from 05 to 07 September 2026, for 36 cadets of Class XI.
The tour party comprised Shri Pawan Khattar as In-Charge, alongwith Smt Varsha Balhara, Shri Sunil Kumar and Hav Raghuveer as es**rt staff.

For the cadets, the visit to the NDA was more than an educational excursion—it was an inspiring glimpse into the life they aspire to embrace. Surrounded by the Academy’s proud traditions, exacting standards and tri-services ethos, they witnessed how discipline, leadership, courage, camaraderie and commitment shape future officers.
The experience strengthened their resolve to join the National Defence Academy and inspired them to begin preparing with renewed focus, determination and self-belief.
The itinerary also included visits to the historic Sinhgad Fort and Aga Khan Palace, enriching their understanding of India’s military heritage, history and cultural legacy.
The visit left an enduring impression on the young aspirants, transforming their ambition into a purposeful commitment: to earn their place at the NDA and dedicate themselves to the service of the nation.

Educational Tour: Kurukshetra (Class VI)

An educational tour to Kurukshetra was organised for 111 cadets of Class VI. Sh Anurag Semwal, Tour I/C lead the trip alongwith Ms Suman Sinha, Ms Kirti and Hav Karamveer.

The contingent visited places of historical, cultural and scientific importance including Jyotisar, Dharohar Museum at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra Panorama & Science Centre, Shri Krishna Museum and Brahma Sarovar. At the Science Centre, cadets witnessed various scientific experiments and also experienced 3D Show, Fantasy Simulator and Virtual Reality Show, which were highly informative and enriching.
Refreshment was provided to all cadets enroute. The contingent returned safely to the school campus. The tour successfully achieved its aim of providing experiential learning beyond the confines of the classroom.

🚫 Anti-Ragging Awareness Lecture | Sainik School Kunjpura

Sainik School Kunjpura conducted an Anti-Ragging Awareness Lecture on 10 September 2026, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to a safe, respectful and disciplined environment for every cadet.
Lt Col Sheilza Dogra, Vice Principal, addressed the cadets and sensitised them about the serious nature of ragging and its adverse impact on physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
The session highlighted various forms of ragging, its consequences and the strict measures adopted by the School to prevent and address such incidents. Cadets were reminded that ragging in any form is unacceptable and that every cadet has a responsibility to uphold the dignity and safety of peers. They were also urged to promptly report any incident or concern to school authorities.
The lecture reinforced the values of discipline, camaraderie , mutual respect, empathy and responsibility— the foundation of Sainik School Kunjpura.
The School remains steadfast in providing a safe, positive learning environment while nurturing disciplined, compassionatenand exemplary citizens.

हिन्दी पखवाड़ा–2026 | सैनिक स्कूल कुंजपुरा

सैनिक स्कूल कुंजपुरा में 15 दिवसीय हिन्दी पखवाड़ा–2026 के अंतर्गत, अन्तर्सदनीय काव्य-पाठ, भाषण एवं वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिताओं का भव्य आयोजन हुआ। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि प्रधानाचार्य कैप्टन गुरबीर सिंह ने कहा कि हिन्दी कार्यालयी कार्य-व्यवहार की भाषा होने के साथ-साथ राष्ट्र को जोड़ने वाली संपर्क भाषा तथा हमारी सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक अस्मिता है। विशिष्ट अतिथि श्री धीरज शर्मा (संयुक्त निदेशक, राजभाषा, NDRI) ने विद्यार्थियों को हिन्दी के अधिकाधिक प्रयोग के लिए प्रेरित किया।
अति कनिष्ठ संवर्ग की काव्य-पाठ प्रतियोगिता में शकरगढ़ सदन के वात्सल्य ने प्रथम, छम्ब सदन के तेजस ने द्वितीय तथा शकरगढ़ सदन के कृष्णानंद शुक्ला ने तृतीय पुरस्कार प्राप्त किया। छम्ब सदन की स्वरांजलि को सांत्वना पुरस्कार मिला। कनिष्ठ संवर्ग की भाषण प्रतियोगिता में थानेश्वर सदन के नवीन राघव ने प्रथम, पानीपत सदन के सौभाग्य ने द्वितीय तथा चिलियनवाला सदन के अंश ने तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया। वरिष्ठ संवर्ग की वाद-विवाद प्रतियोगिता में थानेश्वर सदन के प्रिंस ने प्रथम, कुरुक्षेत्र सदन के जगमिंदर ने द्वितीय तथा चिलियनवाला सदन के शौर्य गोदारा एवं अधिराज ने तृतीय स्थान हासिल किया।
संयोजक श्री अभिनव पाण्डेय तथा सह-संयोजक श्रीमती रेनू कंबोज ने कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाया।
हिन्दी पखवाड़े की इन प्रतियोगिताओं ने विद्यार्थियों को अपनी सृजनात्मकता, वक्तृत्व और तार्किक क्षमता प्रदर्शित करने का मंच प्रदान किया!

Teachers’ Day Celebrated at Sainik School Kunjpura

Teachers’ Day was celebrated at Sainik School Kunjpura with great fervour and reverence to honour our guiding lights—our teachers.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Captain (IN) Gurbir Singh and the First Lady of the campus.
Cadets presented a special programme with cultural performances and heartfelt speeches, expressing their deep gratitude and respect towards their mentors.
In his address, the Principal appreciated the tireless dedication of teachers and highlighted their crucial role in shaping cadets and building the nation.
A special lunch was organised in honour of all teaching staff.

SAINIK SCHOOL KUNJPURA CELEBRATES SHRI KRISHNA JANMASHTAMI WITH DEVOTION AND FERVOUR 🦚

Shri Krishna Janmashtami Utsav Samaroh was celebrated at Sainik School Kunjpura with great devotion, fervour and enthusiasm on 03 & 04 Sep 2026 at Vidyalaya Mandir. The two-day celebration was organised by the School Mandir Samiti.

The festivities commenced with ‘Ek Shaam Thakurji Ke Naam’ - Bhajan Sandhya on 03 Sep 2026. The cadets attended the Bhajan Sandhya with great enthusiasm and devotion.

The main celebration comprising Cultural Programme, Bhajan Sandhya and Dahi-Handi was held on 04 Sep 2026 and was presented by the cadets of the school along with a musical group, followed by Janmotsav and Prasad Vitaran at midnight.

The programme was graced by the presence of the Principal, First Lady, all cadets, staff members and families of the campus. On the occasion, the Principal and the First Lady of the campus also rendered soulful bhajans, adding to the devotional fervour of the evening. The celebration was made a grand success with the enthusiastic participation of all.

🏅 INTER-HOUSE DRILL COMPETITION 2026–27 🇮🇳
Sainik School Kunjpura revived its Inter-House Drill Competition, showcasing discipline, precision and military bearing.
Cadets were judged on turnout, bearing, command, saluting , marching, timing, and synchronisation.

In his address , Principal Capt (IN) Gurbir Singh complimented the ANOs and NCC Staff for flawless conduct of the event. He reminded the cadets that drill builds discipline, confidence, team spirit, and responsibility—values to live by, beyond the Drill Square also.
