Peace, Harmony & Students’ Rights Must Prevail

Students Islamic organisation Assam South is deeply concerned with the reports of clashes and injuries in Cachar College, Silchar, reportedly arising from a dispute involving student groups and the wearing of religious attire.

We strongly believe that educational institutions must assure spaces of learning, dignity, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence among the students . Differences of opinion should never turn into confrontation, intimidation or violence.

We appeal to all students and student organisations to maintain tranquility , exercise restraint and uphold the dignity of every student, irrespective of their faith or background. Any allegation of assault or misconduct should be addressed through a fair, impartial and lawful inquiry, rather than through confrontation or retaliation.

SiO Assam South has always stood with students and will continue to stand for their dignity, rights, safety and peaceful educational environment. At the same time, we call upon everyone to reject violence and working together to restore peace and harmony in campus.
We appeal to Cachar College authority and District administration Cachar , to deal with the matters with due responsibility .

SIO Demands Immediate Correction of FYUGP Odd Semester Results

SIO Assam South expresses serious concern over the widespread complaints regarding the recently declared FYUGP Odd Semester results of Assam University. We demand an immediate review and correction of all genuine errors to ensure that no student suffers due to evaluation or administrative lapses.

We also urge the University authorities to take necessary measures to prevent such discrepancies in future examinations and uphold the transparency and credibility of the evaluation process.

Students deserve justice, accuracy, and accountability.
