Imamganj Alia Madrassa was established in 1942. This Madrassa was located near the international border between Bangladesh and India.
This Islamic educational center was made possible by the donations given from the villages of Sayed Pur, Sandalpur, Kaknimara, Tilaiya, Maijgram, Bagarsangan and Gugrakuna. Due to the proximity of the Madrassa to the border, it was better to relocate it. In June 2017, the land for the new Madrassa was donated by Mohamed Salam, son of the late Haji-Wajid Ali from Sayed Pur. The new location of the

A new masjid construction has started at Darul Uloom Imamganj. We plan to make this the biggest masjid in Barak Valley at 112 by 78 ft with two floors. This will fit 1200 people per floor when praying.
