☀️ Revised School Timings in Sribhumi District Due to Heat-Wave Conditions ☀️
In view of the prevailing high temperature, scorching heat and heat-wave-like conditions, and considering the health, safety and well-being of students, teaching and non-teaching staff, the Office of the Inspector of Schools, SDC, Sribhumi has revised the normal school timings.
📅 Effective from: 17th August 2026 until further orders
🕐 Revised School Timings
🔹 LP Schools: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM
🔹 ME Schools: 7:30 AM – 12:00 Noon
🔹 H.S. & Sr. Secondary Schools: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
⚠️ Important Heat-Wave Safety Guidelines:
• Morning Assembly should be conducted inside classrooms or in a properly shaded and well-ventilated area.
• Adequate and safe drinking water must be available throughout school hours.
• Students should be encouraged to carry sufficient drinking water from home.
• ORS/Electrolyte Solution and First-Aid facilities should be readily available.
• Outdoor games, strenuous physical activities, rallies, parades and prolonged exposure to sunlight should be avoided during extreme heat.
• Fans and other cooling/ventilation arrangements must remain functional.
• Classrooms should be adequately ventilated and, wherever possible, classes should be conducted in the coolest and best-ventilated rooms.
• Students may be advised to wear light, comfortable and breathable school-appropriate clothing.
📌 Examinations:
Ongoing or already scheduled examinations will not be affected by this order and shall be conducted as per the notified programme, subject to necessary safety arrangements.
