Allama Tayeebur Rahman College of Pharmacy, Badarpur, is the 12th venture of ERD Foundation, Guwahati, established in 2020, is affiliated to Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati. It is the third pharmacy college and is the first self-financed institute in the whole of the Barak Valley. Pharma approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. The college is well-e
quipped with required infrastructure, laboratories, well stocked Library, hostel and trained manpower. The college is located in Taleem City, Hasanpur, Badarpur under Karimganj district of Assam, situated at a distance of 40 km from Silchar town and 340 km from Guwahati. Badarpur is a historical site for many reasons including trade and business, religious importance and water transport. Badarpur & Karimganj town is also located strategically near International Border (Bangladesh). Presently, Badarpur is well connected by road and railways. It is on the side of National Highway 44 which connects Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and rest of Barak Valley. The Badarpur Railway Junction connects with other parts of the country. Any one can reach to Badarpur by Air landing at Silchar Airport (Kumbirgram) & then by road journey of nearly one and a half hours.

Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Guwahati, Assam, India is established in 2009 as per the Act โThe Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, Act, 2007โ. The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences is the only Health University in the North Eastern Region with its jurisdiction in the whole of Assam. The University is located in Gauhati Medical College Building (2nd Floor) at Narakasur Hill Top, Bhangagarh, Guwahati-32. As the University is located in Guwahati, it is well connected by Air, Rail and Surface Transport. The Mission of the University shall be to create, uphold and develop an intellectual, philosophical, academic and physical environment which shall be conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information amongst various Faculties of the University, and to develop collaborative as well as autonomous institutions or research and higher learning, between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences, and other centres of excellence in the country and abroad, thereby opening a window to the world for the health professionals, health planners, health managers, health policy makers, bio-medical and social scientists, educators and academicians in Health Sciences of the country. โ๏ธPCI Introduction The Pharmacy education and profession in India up to graduate level is regulated by the PCI, a statutory body governed by the provisions of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 passed by the Parliament. The Pharmacy Act 1948 was enacted on 4.3.48 with the following preamble- "An Act to regulate the profession of pharmacy. Whereas it is expedient to make better provision for the regulation of the profession and practice of pharmacy and for that purpose to constitute Pharmacy Councils". The PCI was constituted on 9.8.49 under section 3 of the Pharmacy Act. OBJECTIVES
