Rabha Divas Celebration at Adarsha Vidyalaya Rongkhang

Today, we proudly celebrated Rabha Divas to pay tribute to the legendary cultural icon Bishnu Prasad Rabha. The programme highlighted his remarkable contributions to art, literature, music, and social reform.

Bhartiya Bhasha Summer Camp Report
​Organized by: Adarsha Vidyalaya Rongkhang
Objective: To celebrate linguistic diversity, foster cultural pride, and promote experiential learning among students.
​The camp successfully integrated language acquisition with cultural immersion through seven core experiential activities:
​1. Linguistic & Cognitive Foundation
​Flash Card Activity: A fast-paced vocabulary builder. Students used multilingual flashcards to map everyday words, objects, and phrases across different Indian languages, boosting memory and cross-lingual connections.
​Role Play Activity: Putting language into action! Students performed short, interactive skits mimicking real-life scenarios (like visiting a marketplace or welcoming a guest), helping them build conversational confidence in various languages.
​2. Cultural Expressions
​Singing and Dancing: Celebrating the rhythmic heart of India. Students learned traditional folk songs and dance steps from different regions, understanding how music bridges gaps when words aren't enough.
​Local Cuisines: A delicious lesson in diversity. This activity introduced students to regional culinary traditions, exploring the unique ingredients, flavors, and cultural significance behind traditional Indian dishes.
​3. Heritage & Awareness
​Awareness About Freedom Fighters: Instilling a sense of patriotism and history. Students explored the inspiring lives of both national icons and unsung regional heroes who fought for India's independence.
​Knowledge of Rivers and Historical Monuments: A journey through India's geography and architecture. This session highlighted how our majestic rivers shape civilizations and how ancient monuments stand as testaments to India's glorious engineering and artistic heritage.
​4. Rooted Play
​Traditional Games: Moving away from digital screens to reconnect with the soil. Students played traditional, indigenous games that passed down through generations, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and strategic u0906u092a.

Today in our school, as a part of the Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp, Day 4 activity was conducted on the theme “Local Cuisines”.

Students of Classes VII, VIII and IX prepared several traditional and local dishes at home and presented them in the school. The students enthusiastically showcased their culinary skills and creativity through this co-curricular activity as a part of the Bagless Day initiative.

The programme not only encouraged students to explore and preserve local food culture but also helped them develop confidence, teamwork, and presentation skills.

Today, our school had the privilege of organizing an Awareness-cum-Sensitization Programme on Menstrual Hygiene Management & WASH Practices conducted by Akangsha Enghipi from Youthful Elite Society YES NGO.

The programme aimed to create awareness among adolescent students about the importance of menstrual hygiene management, safe sanitation practices, personal hygiene and health, awareness on clean water and sanitation, and breaking myths and stigma related to menstruation.

Through an interactive and informative session, students gained valuable knowledge about maintaining proper hygiene, adopting healthy practices, and understanding the importance of dignity, health, and awareness during adolescence. The programme also encouraged open discussions to remove misconceptions and promote a positive attitude towards menstrual health and WASH practices.

The school extends heartfelt gratitude to the resource person and the organization for conducting such a meaningful and impactful awareness programme for our students.

Today at our school, students enthusiastically prepared house-wise wall magazines as part of the competition for the academic session 2026–27. Each house was allotted different topics, and the students showcased their creativity, teamwork, and dedication through their excellent work.

To evaluate their efforts, our Kolonga Cluster CRCC, Mohan Teron Sir, along with our respected Principal Sir, Dawa Sangpo Lama Sir, DPO visited our school. They carefully observed the magazines, shared valuable feedback, and motivated the students to continue nurturing their creativity and skills.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for their time, guidance, and encouragement. We look forward to inviting them again to our school for future programs and activities.

We also felicitated the top achievers of the Zonal and National levels of the SNOT examination during the morning assembly by awarding them medals and certificates. This recognition not only celebrated their hard work and excellence but also inspired other students to strive for higher achievements in the future.

Mother's Day & National Technology Day Celebration

Today, our school joyfully celebrated Mother’s Day with a variety of engaging games and vibrant cultural activities. The presence of our Mothers' Group President, Catherine Tissopi Madam, added great warmth and significance to the occasion. She graced the event and enthusiastically participated, making the celebration even more memorable for all the mothers.

Following this, National Technology Day was observed with great zeal. Students actively took part in debate, quiz, and extempore speech competitions organized among the different houses. These activities not only showcased their talents but also inspired them to develop knowledge and skills essential for the future.
