Our college telecasted the Post Budget Webinar 2026–27 on the theme “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas – Fulfilling Aspirations of People.” Faculty members and students attended the live session.

The webinar highlighted key Union Budget initiatives in education, skill development, and innovation, including University Townships, AVGC labs, STEM hostels for girls, the National Telescope Scheme, and Divyang Kaushal Yojana.

The session provided useful insights on strengthening the link between education, employment, and entrepreneurship for building Viksit Bharat 2047.

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering and Technology successfully organized a seminar on “IPR Basics for Innovators and Entrepreneurs” on 📅 23 February 2026 at ⏰ 11:30 AM in the 📍 ECE Seminar Hall.
The session was delivered by 🎤 Dr. B. Guruprasad, Assistant Professor (SI.Gr), Department of Mechanical Engineering. The seminar focused on creating awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) 💡 and their importance for innovators, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
During the session, the speaker explained:
📘 Fundamentals of Intellectual Property Rights
🧠 Types of IPR such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, and designs
🚀 Importance of protecting innovative ideas and research work
📝 Basic process involved in filing patents in India
💼 How students and startups can benefit from IPR protection
The session was informative and interactive, helping students understand how innovation can be transformed into protected intellectual assets. Participants actively engaged in discussions and clarified their doubts regarding patents and startup ideas. 🙌

Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering and Technology successfully conducted a workshop on “AI & Innovation Sprints – Rapid Prototyping for Digital Transformation” on 23 February 2026 at the Virtual Hall, CSE Department. 🤖🚀
The session was delivered by Mr. Raj Bharath Kannan, Senior Data Engineer at Agile Lab Pvt. Ltd. (Italy – Remote).
