World Breastfeeding Week 2026 & Drug-Free India Awareness | VMCH Karaikal
Promoting healthier communities through awareness, participation, and responsibility. 💙
As part of World Breastfeeding Week, Vinayaka Mission's Medical College & Hospital (VMCH), Karaikal, organized a Walkathon on 2 August 2026 to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding for maternal and child health.
The event was flagged off by Prof. Dr. K. Cheran, Dean, followed by a pledge ceremony reaffirming the institution's commitment to promoting breastfeeding awareness. More than 200 students enthusiastically participated, demonstrating their dedication to community health and wellness.
On the same occasion, the live address of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India on the vision of "Building a Drug-Free India" was broadcast across the college campus, inspiring students and faculty to work together towards a healthier, addiction-free society.
Through such initiatives, VMCH Karaikal continues to foster awareness, social responsibility, and excellence in healthcare education.
