Akal Academy Raipur Peer Bakswala celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on 14 August 2026. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The atmosphere was filled with pride and respect for the nation.
After the National Anthem, the students presented a divine Shabad, creating a peaceful and spiritual beginning to the celebration. This was followed by a beautiful poem on Independence Day presented by the Head Girl, Ekamjot Kaur of Grade 12.
The students of Grade 4 presented an energetic choreography based on the theme of patriotism. Gurneet Kaur of Grade 10 delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of Independence Day and the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The students of Grade 8 presented a meaningful play, conveying an important message about patriotism and our responsibilities towards the nation.
The programme continued with an enlightening address by the Vice Principal, Ms. Gursharan Kaur, who motivated the students to value the freedom of the country and become responsible citizens. A patriotic song by the students of Grade 10 further filled the gathering with national pride.
The little ones of Grades 1, 2 and 3 presented a colourful and lively choreography, which was enjoyed by everyone. The celebration concluded with a delightful modelling presentation by the students of Grade 2, showcasing their confidence and enthusiasm.
The entire programme was a wonderful blend of patriotism, spirituality, talent and creativity. The celebration successfully instilled a sense of national pride among the students and reminded everyone of their duties towards the nation. The programme concluded on a joyful and patriotic note.

A workshop on “House Wiring” was conducted at Science City on 10th August 2026 for the students of Classes XI and XII (Science stream). The workshop aimed to provide students with practical knowledge and a better understanding of the basic concepts and techniques involved in electrical house wiring.
During the workshop, students were introduced to various components used in household electrical circuits and learned about their functions and applications. The resource persons explained electrical connections, switches, sockets, wiring systems, safety devices, and electrical safety precautions. Practical demonstrations helped the students understand how their theoretical knowledge is applied in real-life situations.
The workshop was highly informative and interactive. The students actively participated in the demonstrations, asked questions, and showed keen interest in learning the practical aspects of house wiring. The activity enhanced their practical skills, scientific understanding, and awareness of electrical safety.
The visit to Science City was a valuable learning experience for the students, providing them with an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and understand the practical applications of science in everyday life.

The Social Science Department of Akal Academy, Raipur Pir Bakhsh Wala, organized a Mock Election for the Prime Minister on 7 August 2026 to provide students with a practical understanding of the democratic election process. Students of Grades IX to XII enthusiastically participated in the activity and showcased their talents through confident speeches, election campaigns, debates, and leadership skills.
The programme began with an introduction to the significance of democracy and the electoral system in India. Student candidates presented their election manifestos, appealed to the voters, and actively participated in campaigning. The voting process was conducted systematically using a mock EVM, followed by the counting of votes and the declaration of the elected Prime Minister.
The activity provided students with first-hand experience of the electoral process while enhancing their public speaking, leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills. It also strengthened their understanding of democratic values and the importance of responsible citizenship.
Principal Ms. Sonu Sharma appreciated the efforts of the Social Science Department and commended the students for their enthusiastic participation. She encouraged them to become informed, responsible, and active citizens of the nation.

Akal Academy, Raipur Peer Bakswala, reverently celebrated the Parkash Purab of Shri Guru Harkrishan Ji, the eighth Guru of the Sikhs, on 7 August 2026 (Friday) with great devotion and spiritual enthusiasm.
The celebration commenced with the daily Nitnem, after which students melodiously recited Shabads in praise of the Guru. The peaceful and devotional atmosphere inspired everyone present to reflect on the Guru's teachings of humility, compassion, selfless service, and kindness towards humanity.
Students also spoke about the life history of Shri Guru Harkrishan Ji, highlighting his remarkable wisdom, his service to the suffering, and his unwavering dedication to helping humanity despite his young age. Their presentations helped everyone understand the Guru's noble values and inspired students to follow the path of truth, humility, and selfless service.
On this auspicious occasion, Principal Ms. Sonu Sharma addressed the gathering and enlightened the students about the invaluable teachings of Shri Guru Harkrishan Ji. She emphasized the importance of compassion, humility, selfless service, and helping those in need. She encouraged the students to follow the Guru's ideals in their daily lives and to become responsible, kind-hearted, and disciplined individuals.
The programme concluded with a prayer seeking the Guru's blessings and a pledge by the students to imbibe his teachings in their daily lives. The celebration was a meaningful spiritual experience that strengthened the values of faith, compassion, and humanity among all present.
