Our school celebrated Independence Day on 14 August 2023 with great joy and pomp. On that day the sense of happiness and pride could be clearly seen on the faces of all the people The program started with number of Activities. Patriotic Poem were recited by the little kids. Some students also presented the group dance and skits.
Students from all classes participated in Flag Making, Drawing and Recitation Competition. Managing Director S. Jagtar Singh Jheeta and Principal Mrs. Sarbjeet Kaur hoisted the national flag, they advised the students to become ideal citizens of the country.

The festival of Teej celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. Students of G.T.B International Sr. Sec. School celebrated Teej with great joy and fervour on the school campus. Students came dressed in traditional Punjabi dresses. A giddha performance was also given by girls. Addressing the kids, principal Sarbjeet Kaur talked about the importance of the day and mentioned that Teej was primarily a festival celebrated by girls and women with songs and dances mainly in the northern and western parts of India. Students were delighted to apply mehendi, play on swings, and enjoyed eating traditional sweets.

“We didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun….”

Summer vacation is the best time of the year as it gives us a chance to relax and explore new things.

G.T.B International Sr. Sec. School organised various summer activities to stimulate and challenge the students, who had to adorn their thinking caps to complete these activities.The prime objective being providing an opportunity to the participants to creatively express themselves. Grade Nursery to III had Games, Dance, Movie and Community Lunch. Together, these activities aim to ensure that learning continues unabated through the summer vacation.We wish everyone a very happy and joyful summer break. May we meet again with a bunch of memories and some great stories.

Our school organized a visit to Hardy’s World, the famous amusement park in Ludhiana city. The students were extremely excited to reach the destination. All the students kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue. There were many other rides such as roller coaster, pirate ship, tea cups, UFO, etc.The students were just excited to get into the water. The first water activity they did was descend into the Kiddies Pool along with the teachers. The pool began to echo with the shouts and joyous screams of children. The next activity was Rain Dance.Everyone had a big smile on their faces indicating they had a great fun.

Our school organised workshop on Pre-primary activities. The school was privileged to have Ms. Beant lamba who enlightened the Teachers about the need to understand emotions with the intention of responding rather than reacting especially while dealing with students. Through a couple of activities, Ms. Beant lamba focused on the need for teachers to step out of their boundaries and comfort zones to create ‘original thinking zones’.

The resource person highlighted the fact that children tend to internalise what they observe.

The session was educative and provided significant details.

*“Mothers love – a brilliant GEM to be treasured.”*

The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment. This being one of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss was zealously enjoyed by one and all. The children irrespective of nationalities, castes, cultures and genders have emotions binding them to their mothers.

Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, the KG and Primary section of G.T.B International Sr. Sec. School had a special celebration on mother’s day. Mother’s Day Celebration reminded our little ones that we have been neglecting our duties as sons and daughters.

The students of III to VIII had something more special and unique to bring a smile on their beloved mother’s face.

They passionately got involved in making beautiful greeting cards for their mothers. Our Principal Ms. Sarbjeet Kaur inspired the children to inculcate virtuous deeds and resort to ethical ways that makes the parents happy and contented.

A health camp was organized in our school for all the students to spread awareness about health check-up and maintaining a healthy life. Every student got themselves checked for BMI, weight, height and other health conditions if any. They all were advised some type of food and exercises by the doctors to maintain a healthy lifestyle. They all were happy to know about so many things which they can learn from doctors. The program ended with a overall report by the doctor about health of students which said they all were healthy and can improve. We hope our school organizes these type of campaigns each year for a healthy student count and less absentees.

The school celebrated International Labour Day on 1st May, 2023.
Students and staff took part in a special morning assembly. Students were enlightened about how the contribution of labourers to our society and how they are the key components of the growing economy.
Each student participated exuberantly in activities of the day namely Occupation Competition and Card Making Competition etc. Teachers encouraged students for their participation. Principal Ms. Sarbjeet Kaur appreciated the efforts of staff and students.

"Every child is an artist” said Pablo Picasso.

Keeping this in mind and to explore the creative potential in the young minds of our children a wonderful drawing competition was organized in G.T.B International Sr. Sec. School, Kapurthala. Students from the classes I - V participated in the competition. The competition was based on the theme of

•Save Nature
•Pollution
•Say 'No' to Plastic
•Drug Abuse
•Poverty

The students showcased their talent and their artistic skills. This fun filled activity witnessed an enthusiastic participation by all students.
