Dear Parents, 𝗔 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱. In a world that constantly asks children to 𝗱𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘂𝗽, our school has chosen to create something different - 𝗙𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 is a simple yet powerful practice that makes 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲. When the bell rings, the rush gives way to stillness. Classrooms pause. Minds settle. Breaths slow. For five minutes, there is nothing to achieve - only an opportunity to 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲, 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁. Because well-being should not be an occasional conversation. 𝗜𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁.
And when an entire school pauses together, something beautiful happens:
𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.
𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁.
𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲.
