The 3rd IBSKA All India Open Karate Championship was held on August 23, 2026, at Moderator Gnanadason Polytechnic College in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District. More than 700 karate students from various states and regions—including Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Hyderabad—participated in the championship, which featured competitions in both Kata and Kumite categories.
The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Ashok Kumar (President, IBSKA), Dr. G. Jai Arul Jose, former P.A. to District Collector Agri M. Nizamudeen (Retired Additional Director of Agriculture), Shihan Kenil Ori (Chief Referee, Arunachal Pradesh), and Karate T. Rajeev (General Secretary, IBSKA).
The event was successfully organized and conducted by Master Karate Rajeev and the Tamil Nadu IBSKA team. Special guests and dignitaries presented trophies and merit certificates to the winning male and female athletes. People across all quarters remarked that this was a historically significant and prestigious championship for all participating karate.

IBSKA Kanyakumari District Karate Students Achieve World Record

Kumari, July 26, 2026

A Nobel World Record event was held on July 25, 2026, at K. Ramakrishnan College of Technology, Trichy. To promote awareness of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3—Good Health and Well-Being—hundreds of male and female students set a world record by performing 60 karate kicks in 60 seconds simultaneously.
Fifty karate students from the International Budo Shotokan Karate-Do Association representing our Kanyakumari district participated in the event and achieved this world record.
Wishes and congratulations have been pouring in from various quarters for the record-breaking students, IBSKA Association General Secretary Karate T. Rajeev and instructors Renshi C.K. Manoj, Renshi V. Prabhu, and Renshi S.L. Serjo Libin.
