On 4th May, the MBA 1st year students from the Department of Business Management had an unforgettable day at the Blue World Theme Park! 🌈 The visit was all about fun, learning, and building strong bonds among classmates. 👫💬 This initiative gave students a much-needed break from their academic routine while offering them a glimpse into real-world business operations. 📊💼

The entire event was expertly coordinated by Siddhant Mishra, Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Management. 👨‍🏫 With his guidance, everything ran smoothly, ensuring that the students made the most of their day at the theme park. 🕒✨ Upon arrival, students were briefed on the day's schedule, setting the stage for an action-packed adventure. 📋🗺️

At Blue World, students had a blast exploring all the amazing attractions, from thrilling rides to splashy water slides and live entertainment! 🎡🌊🎭 They took the opportunity to relax and connect with each other in a more laid-back setting. 🤝💃 There were also engaging team-building activities throughout the day, fostering collaboration and communication. 🤲🗣️

Mr Siddhant Mishra also organized a special behind-the-scenes tour, giving students an exclusive look at how a theme park operates. 🔍🏭 They learned about customer service, marketing, logistics, and human resources—key aspects of running a large-scale entertainment venue. 📈💡 It was a fantastic chance for the students to see business principles in action.

The day ended with a delightful group lunch and evening tea at the park's central restaurant. 🍽️☕ Students and faculty shared stories and reflected on the day's events, with many expressing gratitude for such an interactive learning experience. 🙏😊

MPGI Organised a Startup Conclave “Transformation of dreams into reality”. The event is coordinated by Nandini Sawhney head T&P and Divya Srivastava Faculty of Management on 19th March 2024, inviting four entrepreneur to share their experiences and motivate our students.
The program was inaugurated by lightning the lamp of Maa Saraswati as per the tradition of the institute followed by providing welcome sampling to the dignitaries.

The Department of Business administration organised a webinar on “Exploring the Emerging Trends in digital Marketing” for the management students on 4th March, 24. Our esteemed Guest speaker Dr. Rajat Sharma, Associate Professor, IIM A, shared his knowledge and experience with students. This webinar delved into the dynamic landscape on online marketing providing a comprehensive exploration of latest development, shaping industry. His insights were marketing audience segmentation, strategies regarding new trends in marketing, influencer marketing, marketing analytics and metrics, use of voice search and its optimization.
The purpose of organising such activity was to provide students a light into how emerging technologies have bought changes in consumer behaviour in the current scenario. Changes in technology has actually rendered a New concept to marketing now a days.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mamta Shukla, (Principal of MPCPS) to this distinguish personality. This event was coordinated by Ms. Neha Dixit, Assistant Professor, (Department of Business Administration) along with entire Management faculty members.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT
“KANPUR LOGISTICS PARK (PRISTINE LOGISTICS & INFRA PROJECT PVT.)”

The Department of Management, MPCPS, organized an industrial visit to India’s leading logistics company, Kanpur logistics Park (Pristine Logistics & Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd) situated at Kanpur highway, Raniganj,Panki, Kanpur on 21st Feb,2024. Pristine offers a wide range of innovative supply chain services including Express Distribution, 3PL and Consulting. The firm provides value-added logistics services for 9 different business verticals ranging from Apparel & Lifestyle, E-commerce, Healthcare, Hi-Tech, Publishing to Automotive, Engineering & Electrical Hardware, FMCG & Consumer Electronics and Institutional.
This visit was specially organized for BBA students to provide them a practical experience related to the fields of logistics and supply chain.
The visit was organised under the supervision of Respected Principal Dr. Mamta Shukla and under the guidence by the faculty in-charge Mr. Mohit Gupta and Mrs. Manisha .Students received warm welcome by the senior officials of Pristine Ms. Archana Pandey (H.R.)
The visit started with brief introduction of company by Mr. Mavin - EXIM Manager .
& Mr. Krishna Pandey- Marketing Manager. He took students around various facility centers and departments and explained each major operation in detail. Students saw the state-of-the art facility where transshipment of consignments were taking place under the guidance of Mr. Sahai (Custom officer) & Mr. Krishna Pandey Manager (Safety) The students observed the actual cross-docking operations and learnt material handling process for consignments being received by the company. The manager explained the hub and spoke system of transportation and distribution and how it facilitates in achieving operational efficiency. The students visited the 3PL (Third Party Logistics) facility at Pristine and learnt its cutting edge technology in providing value added services to customers. They also visited the document and record section and understood actual process of order receiving, order tracking and follow up and order delivery and learnt the modern practices of effective documentation. They gained insight into the role of information technology in enabling faster, effective and efficient logistics operations. In the end Ms. Archana addressed all students in the conference hall and explained career opportunities in logistics and supply chain management area. He handled student’s queries during of question & answer session. The company extended a very hospitality to students during the visit.
The trip was very informative, enriching and provided great learning experience to the students.

The Department of Business Administration organized a guest talk for the Management students. Ms. Kamini Singh initiatedthe session by inviting the guest for the auspicious lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Dr. Mamta Shukla, Principal, Maharana Pratap College of Professional Studies welcomed Mr. Tripurari Singh Deputy General Manager TATA Motors, Lucknow. He shared his views on the key benefits of SWOT Analysis and how students can develop their skills and become more capable for their future entrepreneur, job aspirants.
Establishing industry advisory boards that include professionals and experts can provide valuable insights into the skills and knowledge required in the real-world environment. Additionally, incorporating practical, hands-on experiences such as internships, industry projects, and case studies into academic programs can better prepare students for the challenges they will face in their professional careers. This approach ensures that academic offerings are relevant and responsive to the evolving needs of industries.
Conversely, industries like TATA Motors are actively engage with academic institutions. Industry professionals can serve as guest lecturers, providing real-world perspectives and sharing practical insights with students. Creating internship opportunities, apprenticeships, and cooperative education programs allows students to gain practical experience and develop industry-specific skills. Open communication channels between academia and industry, facilitated through forums, workshops, and collaborative research projects, can promote a continuous exchange of ideas, fostering a symbiotic relationship that benefits both sectors and contributes to a more seamless transition for graduates into the professional realm.

Maharana Pratap Engineering College organised an Industrial Visit to 'Lohia Corp Ltd.' Kanpur for its MBA students.
This Visit was coordinated by Divya Srivastava( Assistant professor)and Siddhant Mishra(Assistant Professor).
The budding managers got an opportunity to visit one of the biggest manufacturing unit in Kanpur. The company executives ensured that the students fully utilize the opportunity that has been provided to them to enhance their knowledge. It was a pleasure learning new facts and knowing the working pattern of the organisation.
The tour started with a presentation explaining different units and segments of Lohia group. The students found the physical layout of the facility to be impressive. The production floor was divided into different sections,each dedicated to a specific production process. The production process involved a combination of automated and manual process.
The students expressed their gratitude to Lohia executives limited to giving them this their time to make them acquainted with the production process.
We hope for a long term bond with Lohia Corp Ltd. for more such visits.

"Cybersecurity is a social responsibility and we all have role to play"
Ensuring safety when posting on social media is paramount in today's digital age. It is crucial to be mindful of the personal information you share to protect yourself from potential privacy breaches and identity theft. Maharana Pratap Engineering College organized cybersecurity awareness talk in collaboration with Krishna Group of Institution and Allen House Group of Institutions.
This awareness talk included some major points like – Safety of Debit / Credit Card, Device Security, Dark Web, QR Code, Threat Calls, Safety on posting things on social media. Avoid disclosing sensitive details such as your home address, phone number, or financial information. Additionally, be cautious about sharing your daily whereabouts in real-time, as this information could be exploited by malicious individuals. Regularly review and adjust your privacy settings on social platforms to control who has access to your content. Be wary of accepting friend requests or connections from unknown individuals, and think twice before posting content that could be used against you personally or professionally. Remember that once something is shared online, it can be challenging to retract, so exercise discretion and think about the potential long-term consequences before posting.

The department of Business Administration at Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions continued with the unique series of "Mind Transformation Program " which is especially designed to transform the thought process of management students. On 11 th October, 2023 Ms. Kamini Singh, one of the faculty member of Business Administration department initiated a topic "How to Express yourself Effectively" ( प्रभावपूर्ण प्रकटीकरण). The whole session was focused on the process of expressing Effectively. Session started with the quote "Express yourself in such a way that no body is watching you but all are listening you" this quote is very true and explains the importance of effective expression in every walk of life.It's a gesture of becoming your own better spokes person in the world.
Multiple stories of talented personalities were shared such as Mrs. Sudha Chandran, CEO of Google - Sundar Pichai, writer of Eat Pray & Love- Elizabeth Gilberth, Music Composer- A. R. Rahman, Mr. Kapil Dev.....and many more for creating enthusiasm among students towards effective expression.

Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it.
The Department of Management Studies organized an MTP session on the topic- "Leadership" on 16th October, 2023. The session was conducted by Ms. Akanksha Saxena, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies. The session aimed to enhance leadership skills, improve communication and interpersonal skills, and facilitate the overall personality development of the students. Effective leadership strategies were also emphasized during the session. Exercises were also given to aid the understanding of leadership. Based on the exercises and discussions, participants defined leadership in their own language, and they came up with the following three definitions:-
A leadership style that identifies a positive needed change by creating a vision that takes into consideration the views of others through inspiration to reach a common goal
The process where leaders and followers are ready to accept positive change for the betterment of the community and where both leaders and followers understand the goals they want to achieve
Leadership that seeks to bring lasting positive change through role modeling, involvement, and motivation of followers
The session on leadership provided an enriching platform for the students to enhance their leadership abilities, improve communication and interpersonal skills, and develop a well-rounded personality. The knowledge and skills gained during the session are expected to contribute to their professional growth and enable them to succeed in their future careers.
Students of BBA I year found the session knowledgeable as well as interesting.

Girls' protection is of paramount importance in our society. It involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and rights of girls, particularly in the face of various challenges they may encounter, such as discrimination, violence, or exploitation. Protecting girls requires a concerted effort from communities, governments, and organizations to provide a safe environment, access to education, and support systems that empower them to thrive. By focusing on girls' safety, we can help build a future where every girl has the opportunity to reach her full potential and live a life free from harm.

Under the UP government initiative Mission Shakti, "Nari Suraksha, Nari Samman, Nari swawlambhan', Maharana Pratap Group of Institution conducted Awareness program for girl students with the help of female Police officials. Mrs. Sonam Singh Bhadauria, a UP Govt police official along with her team , shared need of raising voice in voilence, seeking help is important. An interactive session was conducted where students raised their queries and officers shared the ways in which they can approach the concerned people, they also shared helpline numbers with the students. Dr. Mamta Shukla Principal MPCPS presented a vote of thanks and a token of appreciation to the guest.

"Money saved is money earned"
The Department of Management Studies organized MTP session on the topic- "Importance of Saving " The session was conducted by Mr. Mohit Gupta Assistant Professor Department of Management Studies. It was focused on Saving and its importance in human life.
Following were the key points of the discussion:
1.Savings act as a safety net in times of financial distress. Unexpected expenses such as medical emergencies, vehicle repairs, or job loss can be easily managed if one has a sound savings plan. It reduces the reliance on credit, thereby minimizing debt and the associated stress.
2. Savings also open doors to investment opportunities. The money saved can be invested in stocks, bonds, or real estate, which can generate additional income over time. This concept of compounding can lead to substantial financial growth, helping to achieve long-term goals like buying a home or planning for retirement.

In conclusion, the importance of saving money cannot be overstated. It provides financial security, enables investment opportunities, and promotes financial freedom. Cultivating the habit of saving can lead to a financially secure and fulfilling life.
