One of the Manufacturing firm is seeking few qualified chemical engineers (more than a year of experience) to join new chemical/ pharma projects for one of India's largest malt and malt extract manufacturing group on a full-time basis.
This exciting role involves providing technical expertise on a range of cross-functional projects, including process design, development, implementation and improvement, and maintaining equipment in a qualified state.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering and 1-3 years experience in a chemical engineering role at a Chemical / FMCG/ Pharma company. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented and inventive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, impeccable interpersonal and organizational skills and a willingness to keep abreast of industry advances. Proven experience in coordinating and collaborating with people in other disciplines is required for this role.The role will involve a 6 month probation period.
Location: Gurgaon
Salary: INR 40K-50k per month (for 4-6 months) followed Rs 10L+ CTC on confirmation

Outline for the talk:
The presentation opens with a brief overview of accounting and finance and then proceeds to present and analyze financial statements from the perspective of upper management. Useful metrics are introduced with quantitative examples. A simple simulation will be performed illustrating the evolution of a typical start-up company while showing in parallel its financial statements. The benefits of this simulation to the entrepreneur will be discussed. A large corporate labor negotiation example will be presented and background calculations would be explained. It would then be demonstrated how the team with better analytics is able to get the upper hand on negotiations and secure a contract of higher value.

Speaker Biography: Kasivisvanathan "Chelva” Chelvakumar
Chelva is an educator, businessman, entrepreneur and human rights worker. Presently he spends three months of the year as Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar, Gujarat where he teaches mathematics and business. He also delivers lectures on Sri Lanka. Chelva received a Ph.D. in Mechanical and Civil Engineering with a minor in Aeronautics from the California Institute of Technology and a Health Care Executive MBA from University of California, Irvine. He lives in Orange County, CA with his wife of 35 years, Latha. They have two daughters, Gayathri, a professor of clinical medicine at Ohio State University and Meenadchi, a Family Medicine physician at University of Washington.

Team Chemineers is organizing a talk on "Career Paths in Chemical Engineering: The training makes you special, don't waste it!" by Lynn M. Walker, Professor, Chemical Engineering and Chemistry (Courtesy) and Material Science and Engineering (Courtesy) ,Carnegie Mellon University (CMU).

In this talk, different career paths for Chemical Engineers will be
discussed. Some emphasis will be put on the career paths and potential that comes from doing graduate level research. She will talk about what it is like to do graduate studies; and then focus on graduate work in the US and specifically at Carnegie Mellon University.

Mr. Anup Bagchi is the Managing Director & CEO of ICICI Securities Ltd, India's largest integrated financial services firm. ICICI Securities is a subsidiary of ICICI Bank, India's second-largest bank and the largest in the private sector.

Under Mr Bagchi’s leadership ICICI Securities has crossed several milestones both on the investment banking as well as the retail side. He is widely recognised for his role in shaping the retail participation in equity and equity linked investments like mutual funds in India.

During his tenure of 20 years with ICICI Group, Mr Bagchi has held many key positions in the field of Retail Banking, Corporate Banking and Treasury. He is also the Director in ICICI Securities Inc.

In addition to his responsibilities at the ICICI Group, Mr Bagchi is co-chairman of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Capital Markets Committee.

Mr. Bagchi is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and IIM Bangalore. He has been honoured with `The Asian Banker Promising Young Banker Award’. Mr. Anup Bagchi has also been honoured with `Industry Newsmaker Award’ by Zee Business for his tremendous and unmatched contribution in the field of Finance.
