The students of Regency Institute of Nursing from the VI Semester visited Amrita School for Special Children and Rehabilitation Center for an educational exposure focused on patient care, rehabilitation and therapeutic practices.

During the visit, students observed various therapies including speech therapy, behavioral therapy, play therapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music therapy and art & craft activities, gaining practical understanding of holistic patient care and rehabilitation support.

The session concluded with an insightful interaction led by the rehabilitation psychologist, helping students better understand therapeutic approaches and patient engagement.

On the occasion of World Schizophrenia Day (24th May), the B.Sc. Nursing 6th Semester students organized a meaningful role play on 23rd May to spread awareness about schizophrenia and challenge the stigma and misconceptions surrounding it.

Through expressive performances and thoughtful storytelling, the initiative aimed to foster understanding, empathy and acceptance towards mental health conditions.

Handmade pamphlets were also distributed to engage and educate the audience, reinforcing the message that awareness is the first step towards breaking stigma.

Because mental health matters and so does how we talk about it.
