Saumil Jain, a treasured possession of Diksha Institute, has been an extraordinary scholar who was among the ISC Toppers of the city from Swaraj India Public School Kanpur.

During his undergraduate degree course he also used his literary skills to create a marble of art and brought "Constellations of Absence" which is a novelette set in contemporary India, following A***n from the final days of Class 12 through his first year of college.

It opens in the mountains near Dharamshala, where A***n and his friends are trekking after their board exams, a celebration interrupted by a rejection email. From there, it traces his journey through entrance exams, uncertain admissions, and the emotional disorientation of leaving school behind.

A***n is ordinary in the most recognisable way. He struggled until Class 8, found his footing through friendship, and by Class 12 those friendships had become everything. The book captures what happens when that group begins to scatter.

The question he carries quietly throughout: if he disappeared, would anyone truly notice? He has spent years being available and kind without ever becoming essential. Accepted everywhere, chosen nowhere.
