Topology is a branch of mathematics that studies the properties of shapes that remain unchanged even when the shape is stretched, bent, or twisted — as long as it is not torn or glued.

🔹 A coffee mug and a donut are considered topologically equivalent because both have one hole.
🔹 Topology focuses on continuity, connectedness, and the number of holes in a shape.
🔹 It is often called the mathematics of “shape without size.”

Manjul Bhargava is one of the world’s most famous mathematicians. He was born on 8 August 1974 and is known for his brilliant work in Number Theory. He studied at Harvard University and later became a professor at Princeton University. In 2014, he received the prestigious Fields Medal, which is considered the highest honour in mathematics. He also received the Padma Bhushan from India. His achievements inspire millions of students to love mathematics and research.
