🌈 *A Symphony of Smiles, Skills & Success*🌈
Puranchandra Vidyaniketan successfully concluded the much-awaited Summer Camp Fiesta 2026, organized from 16 May to 22 May 2026, with a spectacular Grand Finale on 23 May 2026. The camp provided students with a vibrant platform to explore creativity, develop new skills, and showcase their talents through a variety of enriching activities.
The grand exhibition was inaugurated by the Principal, along with the Vice Principal. They appreciated the students’ dedication and creativity displayed through exhibits such as calligraphy, non-fire cooking, Crafting Minds projects, Black Canvas Painting, digital designs, and personality development activities.
The cultural segment added great enthusiasm to the celebration with yoga displays, storytelling, melodious singing performances, harmonium and synthesizer recitals, public speaking activities, skating acts, energetic dance performances, Zumba, and the special presentation “Melodies of Bengal.” The interview sessions reflected the confidence and communication skills developed by the students during the camp.
Addressing the gathering, the Principal encouraged students to continue polishing their skills and appreciated the sincere efforts of both teachers and students in making the event a grand success.
The celebration concluded with a joyful class party, leaving students with smiles, confidence, and unforgettable memories of Summer Camp Fiesta 2026.

TALENT TAKES CENTRE STAGE AT INTER-HOUSE SOLO MUSIC
Puranchandra Vidyaniketan hosted its Annual Inter-House Solo Music Competition, with Ms Kavita Singh, Principal, Laxmi Devi Lalit Kala Academy, gracing the occasion as the esteemed judge.
In the Junior Category, Anay Awasthi (Cl 5), Pranshu Singh Chauhan (Cl 4), Devansh Bhardwaj (Cl 5) and Devansh Kumar (Cl 4) mesmerized the audience with devotional renditions on the synthesizer. Keshav Verma (Cl 2), Aishanya Tripathi (Cl 3), Kashvi Gupta (Cl 4) and Ishani Shukla (Cl 4) lent their sweet voices to evergreen Bollywood classics. Shreya Mishra (Cl 5), Aradhya S Chauhan (Cl 5), Aadya Tiwari (Cl 4) and Saanvi Singh (Cl 2) won hearts with vibrant folk dances from across India.
The Senior Category witnessed rhythmic excellence as Anjaneya Mishra (Cl 7), Adhyatman Dubey (Cl 7), Tanush Singh (Cl 6) and Vedant Sachan (Cl 6) proved their mastery over Teen Taal on the tabla. Swekchha Mishra (Cl 11), Hritwik Kushwaha (Cl 11), Shambhavi Mishra (Cl 12) and Shubh Bajpai (Cl 11) filled the arena with pulsating beats through varied instruments. In dance, Pawani Mishra (Cl 11), Shatakshi Singh (Cl 10), Bhavya Mishra (Cl 11) and Ish*ta Tripathi (Cl 12) cast a spell on the audience and the judge alike.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr Rakesh Upadhyay praised the mesmerizing performances, remarking that sensitive ears discover music everywhere—from rustling leaves to roaring clouds, and even in cosmic silence. BUZZING BRAINS: BRILLIANT GAINS
A SCIENCE BATTLE TO CELEBRATE CURIOSITY, LOGIC, AND INNOVATION
Puranchandra Vidyaniketan organized an Inter-House Science Quiz for students of Classes V to VIII, aimed to ignite inquisitive minds and strengthen conceptual understanding through an engaging and competitive format.
The quiz unfolded through five thoughtfully designed rounds, each testing different dimensions of scientific knowledge and application. Round One – Jumbled Words challenged students’ familiarity with scientific terminology, and encouraging alertness ; Visual Round (Identification of Scientists) brought legendary and contemporary scientists to life followed by Visual Round (Identification of Instruments), where participants proved sharp observation skills and practical awareness of scientific tools. The excitement peaked during the Pounce Round, an activity- and experiment-based segment that tested not just knowledge but also the understanding of underlying scientific principles and mechanisms. The Rapid Fire Round kept the tempo high, demanding swift recall, clarity of concepts, under pressure.
The questions spanned a wide and relevant spectrum—recent scientific missions such as AXIOM-4 and the Mangalyaan Mission, remarkable contributions of Indian scientists, emerging technologies and project-based innovations, along with core principles of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Emphasis was also laid on the application of science in everyday life, making learning meaningful and relatable.
From the very beginning, the competition witnessed a thrilling see-saw battle among the houses. Red Roses took an early lead, soon challenged by Green Leaves, while Blue Birds soared ahead with confident performances in the middle rounds. Ultimately, Green Leaves displayed exceptional consistency, analytical depth, and team coordination to clinch the top position.

RESOLUTIONS IN INK, ASPIRATIONS IN THOUGHT
SCRIPTING HOPE, PURPOSE, AND FRESH BEGINNINGS
To nurture reflective thinking and creative articulation, an Essay Writing Competition on the topic “My New Year Resolution” was organized for students of Classes III to XII - and the response was nothing short of heartening.
The overwhelming participation convincingly dispelled the common assumption that students are losing interest in creative writing. On the contrary, the entries revealed depth of thought, sincerity of intent, and refreshing individuality, making the process of evaluation both lengthy and delightfully challenging.
Aarohi Tripathi and Viraj Dubey (Classes III–V); Arohi Singh and Aarna Malhotra (Classes VI–VIII); Vamika Shukla and Ayaan Yadav (Classes IX–X); and Bhoomika Sahu and Suhani Nigam (Classes XI–XII) were adjudged 1st and 2nd in their respective categories. They were felicitated by Principal Mr Rakesh Upadhyay during a Special Morning Assembly, where he applauded the students’ creative efforts and encouraged them to continuously hone their writing skills. He expressed special appreciation for the younger participants and looked forward to even more enthusiastic and mature participation from the senior classes in future literary endeavours.

*GOODBYES WRAPPED IN BONDS FOREVER*
The Puranchandra Vidyaniketan Quad transformed into a soulful arena of nostalgia, brotherhood, fraternity, and heartfelt idol-adulation as the students of Class XI bid an emotional yet joy-soaked farewell to their beloved seniors of Class XII at the much-awaited farewell celebration, SAYONARA.
Bathed in an elegant fusion of golden and blue hues, the beautifully adorned quad set the perfect tone for the evening. Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr Rakesh Upadhyay, in his warm and inspiring good-wish speech, reflected on the gentle depth of SAYONARA, drawn from the Japanese “Sayō naraba”—“if it must be so.” He likened the farewell to a Sensei parting from students beneath blooming Sakura (Cherry), where blossoms speak of graduation, growth, and the bright joy of youth. With warmth, he reminded them that farewells may mark change, but they never end belonging—they remain forever a part of the PCVN family under PESA.
The distribution of mementoes to the Class XII students by Mr Upadhyay became moments of quiet reflection and gratitude. These were beautifully interspersed with nostalgic melodies, peppy dance performances, and songs, which dissolved the formality of the occasion and filled the air with laughter, applause, and emotional warmth.
The evening reached its celebratory crescendo with the announcement of the much-awaited titles. Amidst thunderous applause and cheerful whistles, A***n Bajpai and Soumya Tripathi were crowned Mr Farewell and Ms Farewell respectively, embodying grace, confidence, and charisma.

Puranchandra Vidyaniketan, Kanpur continues to nurture academic brilliance as its students make the school proud with their outstanding performance in competitive examinations. Six students have qualified for Round Two of the National Science Olympiad, while seven students have secured their place in the second round of the International Mathematics Olympiad, scheduled to be held on 8 February 2026.
Adding a special feather to the school’s cap, Hardik Singh of Class 6D displayed exceptional aptitude by qualifying for both Olympiads, leaving a distinct mark of excellence.

PCVN BOYS PLAY HARD, FAST, AND FEARLESS
Puranchandra Vidyaniketan’s sporting spirit remains unstoppable—regardless of weather, workload, or the stage of the academic session. Even as the campus buzzed with PTMs for Classes X and XII, followed closely by the Inter-House Solo Music Competition, the young wizards of the PCVN Hockey Team seized the moment to compete in 2nd Major Dhyan Chand Five-a-Side Hockey Tournament at Green Park Stadium.
The league-based tournament, played on the astro-turf, witnessed tough competition among SVM, PCVN, DPS Kalyanpur, and Cantt Board, all of whom advanced to the semifinals. Displaying discipline and determination, PCVN outplayed Cantt Board 2–0 to storm into the finals, while Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Fatehpur edged past DPS Kalyanpur 3–1 in the other semifinal.
The final clash proved to be a nail-biter, with end-to-end action and relentless pressure from both sides. A goal in the dying minutes sealed victory for SVM, Fatehpur, yet the PCVN boys earned loud applause for their grit, teamwork, and never-give-up attitude.
Principal Mr Rakesh Upadhyay lauded the team’s spirited performance, applauding their balance of academics, culture, and sports, and reaffirmed that such platforms shape resilient, confident, and focused PCVN students.

DRESSED UP LEARNING WITH JOY, CREATIVITY, AND CONFIDENCE
Puranchandra Vidyaniketan organized an exciting Inter House Dress-Up Role-Play Competition for the enthusiastic learners of Classes I and II, transforming the School Hall into a lively stage of imagination and experiential learning. The activity was thoughtfully designed to blend fun with foundational concepts, allowing children to learn by becoming: Class I presented Wonders of the ocean with portrayals of sea turtles, starfish, jellyfish, and octopus, AND Objects Around Us, making alarm clocks, smart phones, smart watches, and pencils come alive with cheerful explanations.
Class II students explored broader horizons with themes on Space Objects, presenting the moon, Earth, Mars, and Venus, and Internal Organs, where kidneys, heart, lungs, and brain were depicted with surprising clarity and confidence.

With confidence sparkling in their eyes and enthusiasm in their voices, the budding storytellers enthralled the audience through a rich collection of narratives such as The Crying Stone, The River and the Mountain, How Jack Went Out to Seek His Fortune, The Bear and the Bee, Two Crows, Thunder and Breeze, and The Two Horses.

TRICOLOUR TALES OF PRIDE AND PROMISE
RENEWING FAITH IN THE CONSTITUTION, REIMAGINING A VIKSIT BHARAT
To commemorate the 77th Republic Day of India, Puranchandra Vidyaniketan resonated with a wave of patriotic fervour and constitutional commitment. The solemn yet inspiring celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Principal Mr. Rakesh Upadhyay, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, which infused the campus with pride, unity, and reverence for the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Upadhyay delved into the long history of North and South India with many kingdoms functioning as Republic and acknowledged the contribution of constitution committee to take into consideration varied aspects of Indian cultural and geographical features to present a unique constitution. He urged the students, the future generation of policymakers to uphold the core values of the Constitution - and to actively contribute towards the vision of a Developed Nation. He emphasized that nation-building begins with informed choices, ethical conduct, and responsible citizenship.
The programme was enriched by a stirring patriotic Hindi poem by Vidushi Singh XI-A that echoed the aspirations of a progressive India. This was followed by a melodious presentation by the school choir, whose patriotic song rekindled collective national pride. A well-articulated speech by Adriti Gupta of IX-D reflected on the significance of the Republic and the duties enshrined in the Constitution.
The celebration reached its crescendo with a vibrant dance performance, where waves of the tricolour flowed with every graceful movement, symbolising unity in diversity and the unstoppable spirit of India. A JAMBOREE OF GRIT AND GROWTH
Puranchandra Vidyaniketan hosted an inspiring Scouts and Guides Camp aimed at nurturing leadership, discipline, teamwork, and self-reliance among students. The camp witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 300 Scouts and Guides, transforming the campus into a hub of energy and learning. The programme commandants Atharv Awasthi and Vidushi Sachan invited Poornansh Awasthi for hoisting of Scouts and Guides Flag, followed by the reverent Scouts and Guides Prayer, setting a tone of purpose and unity.
Addressing the Jamboree, Principal Mr. Rakesh Upadhyay motivated the young participants to remain agile, alert, and adaptable throughout the camp. Emphasising the timeless motto “Be Prepared,” he urged students to be ready for unforeseen challenges and emerging opportunities alike, highlighting the importance of crisis readiness and the ability to sustain oneself with limited resources.
The camp offered rich experiential learning through a wide range of scouting activities including tent pitching, gadget making, cooking, march past, treasure hunt, obstacle drills, and whistle signal training. As dusk set in, the campfire became a centre of warmth and reflection, with students singing songs, sharing experiences, and celebrating the spirit of togetherness.
