The reason why you will never get a high score in IELTS Listening...
Many candidates learn advanced vocabulary and think that the more difficult it is, the better. But it's not always true. When they sit a real test, they find out that many answers are very simple words which they use every day. BUT these words are not as simple as they seem, and they are definitely worth your attention! Why is it the case? This is because IELTS creators often choose the words which have the same or similar pronunciation. As a result, most non-natives make mistakes in the spelling of these words because they underestimate their importance and therefore do not spend time revising them. A vivid example is the word 'coffee'. There are so many ways candidates misspell it :))) kofe, coffe, cofe etc. And it usually goes together with 'cafe'. So, guys, don't confuse!
