The Genisis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kannur
Kendriya Vidyalaya Kannur, Kerala, established in August 1983, is situated in the heart of the city in Cantonment area about 0.5 Km from Kannur Railway Station and 1 Km. from the bus station. e section school having II and Pre-Primary. Science ,Commerce and Computer Science are offered at the +2 stage. Computer Education is provided to all students from classes III to XII. Apart from the academic ventures a variety of co-curricular activities are also conducted. The institution aims at a comprehensive development of the child with accent on mental, moral and physical well-being. The institution strives to mould the child into a healthy individual imbued with high moral values and aims at the three-fold development achieved through the head, the heart and the hand. In little over a decade, the institution has steadily grown in stature and has begun to make a mark as one of the model Kendriya Vidyalayas in this part of the State. IMPORTANT MILESTONES
The new building was inaugurated on 13 April 1994. The Auditorium was inaugurated on 05 MArch 1997. In Class XI, XII Commerce Stream with IP as an elective was introduced in the year 2008.
