Cannanore or Kannur being the popular place of Ayurveda, 100 years ago in the year 1915, Sri Kunhiraman Vaidhyar set up Ayurveda production unit. He was the author of Bala Chikitsa, Visha Vaidya Manthramritham and founder of the Madhava Memorial Ayurveda College, Kannur. Due to his excellence in treatment and medicines prepared with utmost care all the medicines were very effective and famous from that era.

After his demise his son Dr.U.K Pavithran (Vaidhyavibhooshanam) took leadership of the medicine manufacturing unit. He strengthened the production and supply of medicines keeping the values of his father alive in terms of quality of the products.

Now the Asoka Group in the name of ‘Asoka Pharmacy’ is supplying Ayurvedic medicines prepared in its manufacturing unit by the name of ‘Asoka Pharmaceuticals’. We have branches in Kerala along with stockists in different parts of Kerala.
Asoka Pharmaceuticals manufactures patent (special) medicines along with classical medicines making a sum total of around of 400 + medicines.
Dr. Pavithran along with his son Naveen Pavithran together worked together to make Asoka Pharmaceuticals the first G.M.P certified unit in North Malabar.

The product formulations have been passed on to us from our forefather and we the management and staff of Asoka continue to take forward the 108 year old legacy.

It is with profound sadness that the Asoka Group announces the loss of Naveen Pavithran ( owner of Asokam Beach Resort and Managing Partner of Asoka Group) on 29.10.2021.
