Anderson Higher Secondary School Anderson Higher Secondary School(AHSS) was established at Kanchipuram on 29th May 1839 by Rev.John Anderson, a Scottish Missionary.

Anderson Higher Secondary School(AHSS) was established on 29th May 1839 by Rev.John Anderson, a Scottish Missionary in Kacheri (Present Kacheri post office) . It was sarted with four students and with in a week the count became seventeen. In 1840, the students strength has reached forty five which leads to construction of Old Hall (present location-now it destructed due to lack of place). Then it

became High scholl in 1871 and Higher Secondary in June 1979. In 1964,the owner ship of Maclean Maiden Playground transferred to the school. At present the school educates around 3500 students.
