As a part of department social responsibility, the staff and student club of the department has taken initiative and visited the village kaggalahalli near harohalli, kanakapura on 29-06-2017.
The kaggalahalli village is unelectrified and the peoples are working in stone minings, are facing problem with power supply during night time. The department planned to distribute the rechargable Solar LED Lanterns to the needy peoples. After the distribution of LED Lanterns, staffs and students have explained the effective and efficient usage of the device. Also explained the importance of energy conservation and rural electrification schemes available under government. Also the department club distributed books and materials for the school going children of the village.
